I'm giving him until league game 23 to prove he's good enough for the job. Let's be reight, the first sign of success and these head coaches can't wait to **** off to pastures new. There's nothing long term about the BFC head coach role. Well that works both ways for me I'm afraid. If he's doing nothing at the half way point of the season then I expect Conway and Chien to do the right thing and move him on.
I'll give him till February. Then he's been here same time as big Val. But with performances and results coming in like they are, I may not be given the blessing of evaluating him by then
I dont.think he will last the season. Yes we have had players out injured but playing guys out of position and lining up not to lose rather than trying to win is negative. And our better players from last season look a shadow of their former selves.
If there was an established championship manager waiting in the wings desperate for their chance to take Barnsley back to the Prem then fair enough. However I doubt that will be the case.
I've said hell be gone by Xmas , he's no idea it's like he's got this mad science about football and in his head thinks the players we've played in there best position for years shouldn't be there , hes clueless
I have not seen today’s game so reluctant to comment.......however my biggest concern is that he has played Odour every game.......he will never make it in championship side front 3, ......previous managers realised he his not strong enough and it seems to be that Schopp is a little bit too long to see this in my eyes..... not a good sign!!
I’m giving him until tomorrow. If things haven’t improved by then. I’ll carry him home myself, on my back. I have zero tolerance with crap managers.
My overall point was the head coaching role at BFC is not a long term position. As I mentioned in my original post, the first sign of success and they can't wait to move on. Surely that should work both ways, if they're crap then they should be sacked. Is half a season too soon to assess Schopp, maybe, but as I said it's not a long term role. The head coaches can't have it all their own way.
Not sure that counts. He was never a left back or left wing back for me and always wanted to see him further up the pitch where he didn’t need to be as switched on defensively. We’ve also had our forward line decimated so far this season.
