Bournemouth's first home league win this season. So they haven't exactly been demolishing the opposition at home well not until today anyway.
Yep if they look poor and directionless by, say, Xmas I'd be wanting to replace the manager. Sounds harsh but I would. Hopefully they will pick up by October.
Not sure i agree with that Cardiff had there chances to score more frieser did have a clear goal chalked off though so we probably should have won based on that but overall hardly thrilling football. We beat Coventry and should have lost.
I don't think I mentioned Schopp did I? I'm only providing my concerns after today's exceptionally poor performance against a side that will admittedly do very well (as they should given their financial advantage). But forgive me please for saying that I really hope that your reasons for us getting off to a slow start to be as valid as you say they are, as I get absolutely no pleasure from sitting through an afternoon like today's (as I'm sure none of us do). Onwards and upwards (hopefully).
You didn’t. I was evaluating/explaining my own positive spin based on what you said and talking about the general context of the comments in this thread.
We've Stoke on Wednesday who are also in the top of the table and it sounds like we'll have even less players to chose from. We will lose games this season , more than last season no doubt but I think we'll be fine. Have you swapped user names!?
Fine margins. First half against QPR was as good as I have seen from a Barnsley side in recent years and another game we should have won t
I watched an hour of today’s game via dodgy means and have to say we were truly battered. It looked like a game between two sides at least two leagues apart. If Bournemouth had hit 7 or 8 it wouldn’t have flattered them. Yes we have half a dozen players out but that was as inept a display you could see. We employ umpteen different formations through a game and the players don’t seem to know what their jobs are, complete opposite to under Val last season. It’ll not get any better any time soon either with Stoke away coming on Wednesday. Have to mention Woodrow too. What on earth has happened to him? The guys a passenger right now and surely destined for dropping when Morris or Oulare become available.
Qpr had enough chances in that 2nd half to win 2 games we should have won because we went 2 up but in the end a draw was a fair result.
Aye they did but Barnsley completely controlled the first half. If you agree with me then it begs the question what caused the change in the 2nd half?....
Their manager caused the change in that game. I'm hoping that we won't chalk that first half down to a disastrous team selection and initial formation on QPR's behalf, that made us look like world beaters for a while. Cos we weren't better than them by the end.
Like I said a draw was a fair result but after playing so poor 1st half qpr had plenty of chances 2nd half
2nd half we had the woodrow one on one which we should have scored but they had the better of the 2nd half a draw was a fair result. I'll say it how i see it.
If that’s all you can recall about our second half chances then it’s little wonder you only say QPR had enough chances to win 2 games. I recall at least 2 more good chances we had that second half. It’s about balance, just take one side and expect to get put straight. You could’ve said both teams had enough chances to win 2 games. Even though you said draw was a fair result, you chose to write the negative aspect of it. Just saying what I saw
