    Can’t believe there’s people on here criticising her. She’s been here since she was 2, think we can just about claim her as ours.

    An 18 year old in her 4th professional tournament has just won 10 matches without dropping a set and is the first qualifier to win the bloody thing. It’s real once in a lifetime stuff, I’m no tennis fan and even I watched and got into it and appreciate a most unique, incredible achievement.

    Everyone whinging about the medical time out by the way. Not her decision. But facts don’t always suit agendas do they?

    plenty earlier in the thread. I’m no expert but I suspect you don’t get to a major final by being cr@p.

    To be honest it’s the ones that have a bee in their bonnet about her somehow not being British that really grind my gears.

    Fernandes is a few places behind her. Big rises for both talents. Loved that Fernandes took a moment at the end to mention 9/11.

    Nah, I won't shut up cheers. You weren't having a go at that aspect - you posted a load of snarky posts in this thread having a dig at interviews generally (as if they aren't common across all sports), the sport of tennis and Raducanu herself.

    But if you think it's fine to have a go at an 18 year old British champion on the internet I can't help you with that...

    Anyone who watched that .....feel privileged. That's history. Sporting history.

    Yep a reason for 9/11 to actually have a grain of positivity going forward (well for Brits). A reason to smile, and embrace our diversity. 2021 with the England footie team and now Emma basically mocking the nasty undertones in some dark corners of our society.
