Very rare we have a fully fit squad, yet we always start with 11 players so we have some missing we also have opportunities for others. That 'weaker side' put in a spirited and positive second haif.

All this bairning of players missing, whilst true, is just excusing when we have poor performances, last night the second haif wasn`t poor even if the first haif was. 45 mins seems to the norm in recent seasons for us to play well.

You said "I'd love to see Stoke without 7 or 8 first teamers." Maybe I'm inferring something you didn't intend to convey, but I think that's over-egging the impact of our current absentees for the reasons I gave. Doesn't really matter mind because I agree with your sentiment, having them return will give us more options and you'd expect we'll improve as a result.

I think I've dropped lucky this season, as for various reasons the only games I've seen were QPR, Brum and the 2nd half yesterday. We've acquitted ourselves pretty well for the most part of those so some of the negativity I've read on here doesn't correlate with what I've seen. I see loads of promise in the players who are playing, rather than worrying about those who aren't.

Anyway, yeah, folk need to be patient. Can't argue with that.

We've been to Cardiff, QPR, Bournemouth and Stoke. And only lost one of them. Granted, we've won none of them either!

But these used to be nailed-on defeats in years past.

I just think it stands to reason that if we're missing eight players it's not ideal. So I would imagine we'll improve as options do.

Not sure it's excusing poor performance. The space in behind out wide, and the marking for crosses is something Schopp needs to work on regardless.

But we are missing a definite starter in defence (Andesen), a definite starter up front (Morris), a probable starter in midfield (Benson), plus some that would be pushing for a start or would definitely be on the bench (J Williams, Oulare). That will make a difference.

It was used in part on Setdi by the King Canutes defending Schopp.
