if he gets more on it - it’s in. If he gets less on it it goes to Victor for a tap in. Just sums it up that he managed to find the optimum amount of weight on the header for it to beat the keeper, and the far post.
That side of their net had a few shots and headers whizz past it 2nd half, Styles, Helik to name 2, and C Brittain almost became the new Dazza Barnard following a decent move.
On reflection I think Moon adapted well to the space we afforded Stoke on Wednesday and covered that area well. It was clear first half that Blackburn were targeting it.
If it’s the brittain shot I’m thinking of, ‘almost’ is very generous. Ball came over from odour, and brittain tried to shoot while facing the touch line, was always going to yards wide.
I'd play him upfront instead of odour when odour got through on goal he was like a rabbit caught in headlights decent footballer but not a forward.
He created that chance for himself though. If every player had created a chance for themselves today, I'm pretty sure one of them would have scored.
Like I said he's a good footballer showed that when he created the chance he's no striker though not clinical in front of goal did all the hard work should have buried it.
So if he'd been playing left wing back and missed the chance that would have been more acceptable? I don't understand your point. He's a good footballer but while ever he's playing in the front 3 he's not allowed to miss a chance?
I think if you gave him that chance another 10 times he would score it more than he missed it. Unfortunately he just got the one chance and didn't. Do you think good footballers don't miss chances?
