Completely agree and was going to post the same. He let the game flow and despite a 0-0 it was quite entertaining IMHO.

Yep..the people sitting around me in the ESU all commented on how good and importantly consistent he was..but don't get me started on the liner at the East Stand side...pinched a living tday and looked to the ref at every throw in..useless

Andy Woolmer more rated now by our fans than the time he sent off Ben Williams at Wigan.

Yes, it’s a nice and welcome change to not be reading and typing negative comments about match officials. It helped that both teams didn’t get involved with the so-called ‘dark arts’ of the game and were largely being honest

One of the best refs I've ever seen, let the game flow, booked players when they deserved it and made the right decisions 99% of the time. Pretty faultless I'd say.

Of course the Blackburn fans will think he was a "homer"...

There was one booking for Blackburn’s Dolan. Which was a correct decision

Agree the ref had a good game helped by the fact that both sets of players behaved pretty well too

Our all time record with him isn't bad either. 15 games over 15 seasons and we've only lost 1 of our last 9 with him in charge and in that run beat Oxford at Oakwell South. He's only booked 2 of our players in the last 5 games he's reffed too. 3 clean sheets in the last 7 as well.

So when he's in charge we rarely lose, rarely have a player booked and look solid defensively. Most of this season we've looked poor defensively and picked up far too many bookings. Yesterday with lucky Woolmer in charge we never looked like letting a goal in and didn't get a booking.

agree on the ref but only 6 teams have conceded less than us this season so the suggestion we’ve been/looked poor defensively can’t be right. And before anyone jumps on this Collins is there to save shots and outside of the Stoke game he hasn’t had loads to do.

I just feel the team deserves some credit rather than constant sniping.

Still don't know why he didn't book our player for hauling down a Blackburn player in the 2nd half.
