Be a bad result? Keeping in mind they will have 11 fit players plus subs. All will have five toes on each foot wearing football boots.
We've had a hard run (not sure if anyone on here has mentioned it) and blackpool are a good side they were premiership not so long ago. There on the same points as us we have no fit players to field and another draw would be a great result. Along as we get a stick of rock and a ride on a donkey and a shot on target we should be happy
If we struggle in our next three games to pick up some points then the position of Schopp will be questioned even at this early stage.
It's the effort that matters bless em...So long as they run around for 90 it doesn't matter if they lose or draw! Just the taking part that counts!
Yes! We need to start winning, and soon! Starting tomorrow hopefully! Otherwise we’re in danger of getting dragged into the bottom 3 and a gap starts to emerge.
Each to their own mate and I appreciate your sentiment but I think Schopp's a lemon. I hope we win all our games but if we don't win tomorrow I wouldn't waste ganes against two more strugglers.
Why? We have gone backwards under him and changing the tactics after last season is looking more silly by the game. There always seems to be an excuse from some fans as to why we've gone yet another game without a win despite the vast majority of the players being the same guys. We don't owe him loyalty or time, just like if he was successful and got offered more cash somewhere else he wouldn't owe us loyalty.
I’m not sure where to start! Does he have the same squad as last year? No Even if everyone was fit is the squad the quality of last year? No Is that the fault of the board (before you start with that!)? No Did we overperform last year by anyone’s expectations? Yes Has that adjusted the expectations of some fans? Clearly Of course I expect us to be competitive where possible. And so far (Bournemouth aside - and look at respective budgets!) we have been. Also it’s a new manager in a new league. I’m not saying he’s incredible but at least give him some time. I guarantee the same posters suggesting schopp isn’t up to the job would be the same people who would be telling us route one doesn’t work was Val still here. I understand our place in the league financially and really don’t understand what some fans expect. This isn’t defeatist. I’m happy with it but look at most teams above us and compare budgets. Of course there are exceptions, but that’s what they are.
The anomaly to our performance in the championship since being promoted is under Val. Which imo was the perfect storm of no fans which allowed a young team to play without pressure, the number of subs possible to make and the quality in his team. give the new manager a chance!
