    Love Fuerteventura, runs a close second to Tenerife for my top Canarian holiday destination ,we went to Corralejo, would like to go to calletta de fusta too.

    Been to Caleta a couple of times, honeymoon with the current Mrs Mac was the first trip.
    Driven to Corralejo before, and from memory the water park was there? And that is where we are staying in Oct.

    At about 8 am today it was so spectacular.
    Huge ejaculations from every orifice.
    The main cone was erupting like billy-ho as was the side vent.
    Only a few days ago that side vent, the one with the lava flowing down the side of the hill, was a tiny hole with a little stream of lava, now it has taken over.

    It is looking fairly spectacular in the morning light if anyone cares to take a peep now.

    Interesting reading the Youtube comments too - talk about sublime to the ridiculous!! It's like a Geological BBS.

    "I seriously believe this could be the end of the world as we know it" ........... was a belter

    The best explanation I saw when people were comparing to Krakatoa, was that like Krakatoa this one has exploded through the side due to a blocked main vent. However, unlike Krakatoa, this is a mere side-seepage not a full-on massive volcanic eruption. As volcanoes go, this is a little one.
