May I recommend GOLIATH, if you have Amazon TV, then this just might be one to enjoy, we certainly have, a legal drama series starring Billy Bob Thornton. There are four seasons each consisting of eight episodes and every season is superb, but, the final season is just beyond superb, the story and the acting is top notch, but the way the final installments are shot is truly beautiful. No spoilers, just sit back and enjoy this great TV drama.
Yeah first series was great. On the look out for a good thriller series. Watched Midnight Mass recently. It was OK and a good concept but too many spells in each episode of meandering monologues. I really liked Mare of Easttown and Ozark.
I'll look forward to season 4 goliath, 1st 3 were very good. Gomorrah was also good. Startup on Netflix is good. Good girls, not bad.
If you don’t mind subtitles & like something a bit out there, then give the Netflix series “Squid Game” a go. It’s Korean & a pretty original concept.
I am still wading my way through 6 series of the Vikings but only got 6 more episodes left, have really enjoyed it
I've just finished season one of Goliath, highly recommend it also. I'd also recommend: I've started watching Utopia - about a man-made disease predicted by a comic book. Loudermilk - comedy about a counsolor with a very bad attitude Patriot - really dark comedy about a US spy Preacher - violent fantasy thriller Mr Robot - need I say more?
Is it on DVD? I only have pauper television. Love Billy Bob. Slingblade is one of my favourite modern films.
I've enjoyed the first 3 series, and I am looking forward to the 4th, but without giving anything away, I thought a major part of Series 3 was improbable. I've noticed this with many long-running series, e.g. Dexter, they start off well, then lose their way in the middle series, and then come back strong in the later series,
I thought the first season was excellant though the second was utterly bonkers. Just started watching the third the other night
I enjoyed Squid Game, not sure I agree with it being a pretty original concept though, Alice in Borderland came out last year which is very similar and then there's the brilliant Battle Royale.
C4s Utopia was fantastic. Didn't mind the remake but it was a patch on the original. Plus, Barnsley bus station was used as a filming location...
