In all my years of watching Barnsley I don't think I've ever abused one of our players.I might say things like that was poor or he's had a bad game but I've never felt the need to abuse players, managers, chairmen or in P.Cryne and Paul Conways case owners. I wonder is it an age thing?or is it my view that they're doing something that I could never do so why should I over criticise .I don't know what it is but some of the things I read on here or very occasionally on social media make me cringe. I'm sure everybody whos ever been attached to BFC do there best whether on the pitch or behind the scenes. For the record I was close when Spackman was here but I was younger.
Must be a age thing as I don't get it either, the ironic cheers when vic was subbed at Blackpool was embarrassing and Tuesday night moans and groans as he came on and a bloke at side of me on his back everytime he was 10 yard near the ball even though imo he did more in 10 mins than freezer did in nearly 2 games.
I wasn’t happy with the sacking of Stendel and may have had a go at the owners on here. I don’t abuse players if they are doing their best however average that may be and I don’t jump on hate bandwagons of the type that have been hitched to Wiseman and Kennedy in recent times. Deon Burton on the other hand…
If we lose I tend to boo everything, walking back to the car I’ll point and boo, driving home I’ll point and boo at the radio, when I walk in the house I’ll point and boo at the Mrs, I point and boo Ant and Dec then finally I’ll boo the cat on the way to bed,
If anything is embarrassing it's his goal scoring record. He tries. Can't fault his commitment just not good enough and should be nowhere near the first team.
Did the club think he was going to turn into lukaku over the summer? We knew his goalscoring record was poor, we knew odour isn't a forward, we knew freisers goalscoring record isn't proflic, we gambled on olure and iseka ones out for a long time other can't get a game same with devante cole. Schmidts loaned out, millers loaned out. As clueless as schopp is the men at the top have to take some blame.
Nah, there's always been booing in the 30 odd years I've been going. Every generation thinks those that follow it behave worse!
It’s no worse than it’s ever been. Just that social media platforms amplify it and bring it closer to the targets themselves.
The thing is, because we look so poor and have no direction, it looks like the players are not trying
Booing has been around for decades. The abuse of players etc. More recent. I’ve never booed. And hope my comments on individuals are seen as more of a constructive nature than destructive. That helps no one.
