Totally agree, I just mean it must be bad as Biglil is usually an optimistic, guiding light on this board.
I completely get that Helen, but Soley an Chaplin never really got a start last season, always bit part players. We have players that can play football in their natural position, but it’s like the manager has said let’s play then out of their position and see how we get on
From last season Mowatt , Anderson , Dike & Morris missing, 4 out of 11 is a big percentage & if you throw Chaplin & Kane in as back up I would say there is a big difference
Morris and Dike joined in January this year and we looked good before and after. Chaplin and Kane were not regulars and that is why I said almost exactly the same team. We were supposed to have strengthened this last window, but it fees like we have gone backwards
I did not say Kane & Chaplin were regulars I said they were back up & yes Morris & Dike were in the team for the last 4 months & thats the team you have to compare with the present , we have gone from a team missing 4 players to the current team & we also have lost the manager so I would say there is a big difference
I’d disagree here about Millwall. I thought they were decent, tried generally to keep the ball on the floor. They have a settled team and manager and a decent game plan. They also have a group of players who have played collectively a lot of championship games. They weren’t amazing but to suggest they were rubbish is absolutely that. We played better than Wednesday that’s for sure, is that enough? For most probably not.
Disagree. They had plenty of guys on their bench that would get in our starting 11 too like Tom Bradshaw and Matt Smith.
I thought they where pretty crap tbh. They setup and would have taken a draw all day long. Any half competent championship side should and would have beaten them today.
Maybe my expectations are too low! They definitely would’ve taken a draw. But whilst I didn’t think they were great I think it was just more hyperbole to exaggerate how crap we were. Which we were a bit but imo we weren’t too bad.
They were better than us and deserved their win, but that’s more a comment on how bad we’ve been this season. I’ve not seen a side worse than us in the Division and that’s a worry.
I genuinely thought we were better than Blackburn but I am biased and most likely clutching at straws.
If you can’t see a positive then things really are bad. No doubt someone will be along soon to tell us that Victor is the new Keiffer Moore…..
Oh, and the final insult, when I walked in through our back door after the match, our new dog stood there barking at me! We moved into this house on 1st March 1984, Mayo moved in 24th September 2021! AND HE WAS BARKING AT ME!! Once he realised it was me, though, he nearly jumped into my arms with giddiness.
