I can only assume that they're keeping him on because it would cost the Owners more money to sack him that the estimated cost of relegation. We're now run as a financial business not a football club.

I am fair. I am composed. I don't rush into these things. I think I was only starting to turn on Johnson after Altrincham. I admitted that this would have been a knee jerk reaction and it's wise to sit on it and not act on the heat of the moment.

However. Sack him, Sack him now!!! No knee jerk reaction as I felt this after Blackpool and every match since. I just think the guy doesn't have a clue (OK, what do I know .. but he's a paid pro, I'm not)

Voted sack him now in the last poll, so I think I'm going to stick. He has to go.

Get rid. I came back to Oakwell in August all fired up, but after 6 home games I've completely lost my mojo. I'm actually glad of the international break, because I won't need to trudge up to the ground now until the back end of the month. Can't remember the last time I felt so disinterested.

I doubt that very much, seeing as the estimated cost of relegation is £6 million! Paying him off would cost us under £500k I would have thought.

Pretty much my thoughts as well - Not sure how bringing Anderson and Morris back helps - if he even picks them - maybe if we had Dike and Mowatt coming back as well it would help but at the moment the strikers have no service and our whole build up approach is too slow and gives defences time to get organised - then we pass it about a bit until we lose it and get hit on the break - no idea how bringing either of those back helps unless we change our style a bit
Brittains comments on how training is going were the final straw for me

Any decent manager would have the current players playing better than they are. He's had some problems with absentees no doubt about it but all departments, defence, midfield and attack look weak now. They dont play as a unit and don't seem to have a clear shape. They also look as though confidence is draining. It's harsh to want a manager out but there's no sensible alternative if the season is to be saved. Dont act and its a definite relegation battle.

I think he should be arrested and charged with contempt of football.

Rather than pay him for failure change his job title to under 23 coach or assistant maintenance man

Cannot use the injured players as an excuse, statistically any team will have at least 2 players injured every game, that's why we have a squad of players

I think he should have gone at 5pm yesterday, but I haven't voted as it doesn't look like he's going anywhere, so we best just get used to it.

You give somebody more time if there's evidence that things will get better sadly the opposite is true things are getting worse. Can you honestly point to just one player that's playing anywhere near the standard of last season never mind being improved by Schopp

Wow so you reckon it'll cost more than £6 million quid to sack him and the cost of relegation to L1 is probably more than that now because that figure is from the last time we went down. If your theory is correct the board really have ****** up

his position is untenable imo you can accept the run of form of we are in if there was a glimmer of hope but comments from the squad, season ticket holders staying away and the crowd turning against the club is unacceptable.

unfortunately this appointment hasn’t worked and neither has the supposed change in style of play, we lack any resemblance of a team that could win a game of football which is what is ultimately what he is judged on

Collins? mind you he ihas been given plenty of opportunity. And even he in the last couple of games has been showing less confidence in his decision making and kicking

Is it really taken for granted that when a manager is sacked he gets the FULL salary paid up? Surely there is something written in about poor job performance?

I'm on a 9 month contract - not as a footballer obvs - but if I mess up I'm out the door and they won't be paying me up, that's for sure.

Speaking of which - I'd best crack on.

I'm still in the 'give him more time ' camp, although I don't think it will hurt for him to analyse last seasons style of play during the International break and then see how we can adapt our style of play. If we are floundering around mid November then it might be time to look around to see whos available to replace them so they have time to assess the squad prior to the transfer window opening. I'm still hoping that the return of Morris and Anderson may see us compete better and pick up some results.

Same here - I just started a new 12 month contract if its terminated next week I there is a guaranteed notice period but its not the full 12 months - still decent but only a fraction of the full amount

From what I understand the full contract is rarely paid up, especially this close to the start. An agreement is usually reached, though I have no idea how the details of that work.
