It's anybody watching this on Netflix? I'm on Episode 7 and I can't honestly even describe it. It's completely bizarre!! It does draw u in though. It's not even something I can recommend because if you don't like gore or violence then it's not for you. You definitely have to take it with a pinch of salt and the Korean's are some what strange to even come up with it and it's only a game!! I've read an article that it's tipped to be the most watched thing on Netflix ever
Yeah it's good, I'll not spoil the ending for you! But if you like Squid Game you should give Alice in Borderland (Netflix too) a go, very similar concept.
Really enjoying it (I think we're on episode 4 or 5 currently). It's much better to watch in the original Korean with subtitles though. The English voices they dubbed it with were too distracting.
Just ploughed through it. Won't give any spoilers, but personally found the ending a bit annoying. Could have been a masterpiece, but Netflix in a nutshell for me. It could quickly turn into Saw.
ending was engineered precisely for that reason for me. that's why I shouted 'oh fk off Netflix' at the telly at the end otherwise outstanding though
These futuristic violence gameshow things don't appeal to me in the slightest. In fact they make me feel very uncomfortable. The more common shows/movies of that genre become, the more likely they are to become reality. Or at least I'm anxious at the thought they'll become reality. Its probably a little irrational, but there's just something about them that makes me deeply uncomfortable, and I can't watch them.
if you've watched the squid game, I think it's highly unlikely to become reality any time soon. it's just dystopian fantasy. it is meant to make you feel uncomfortable though. I quite like stuff like that. loved black mirror.
Just watched Big Sky, well worth a watch. Katheryn Winnick of Vikings fame is in it and as usual is very good but Brian Geraghty is excellent.
