I concur with your assessment, good until the last 35 minutes of the last episode, then I just got annoyed with it.
These sorts of shows and films have been around for years though, Death race, running man, battle royale... I don't think they'll ever become a reality, at least not in my lifetime!
What about that series where a group of super-rich use mind control to get the population of a country to agree to destroy itself. It’s on now. 'Tory Party Conference. You don’t want to know the ending.
Apparently Squid Games is the source of a massive lawsuit between South Korea's largest ISP and Netflix. The ISP are complaining that Netflix users are taking all the bandwidth. The users are complaining that their 1Gb broadband isn't performing as they'd paid for...
That's one of my favourite films. It was released in the year i was born but watched it in the 80's and i've seen it loads of times since
The only one of them I've seen is Death Race (the Jason Statham one, not the original) and that made me uneasy.
Binged it all this week, very much enjoyed it. I agree though, the ending could’ve been a bit better. After episode 3 I called the person involved, probably just a lucky guess.
Second series is due out soon so thought I’d watch the first again as a memory jerker ! It is … well … odd to say the least, but addictive.
