It’s sad when the club loses its continuity rocks, but a lovely farewell statement. Good luck Craig. Step up, young Vikki.. :)

It must be a pretty good pay rise to tempt him away. Out our level, I wouldn’t have thought a physio’s wages would be so competitive.
But now thinking, if a person has a good track record of player fitness, injury prevention & recovery- that’s very worth paying for..

Conway did an interview recently, where he talked about the ability of their consortiums to reduce off field costs by merging roles etc.
Perhaps they saw as not a need for both.

The head of dept left to join Newcastle in July, lad called Paul Bowers has been promoted to replace, he worked at Barnsley for a few years so perhaps came about as a result of this?

Isn't that just commonly called... cost cutting?

I've a feeling they're selling up or worse leaving the Cryne's and their 20 per cent to run the club. Seems strange how people are leaving like rats off a sinking ship.

He’s been at the club for years, and perhaps thought it was time for a change and more money. Huddersfield is still local and has excellent facilities.

However, it is not a step backwards for us. Vikki is young, bright, well qualified and has worked alongside for him for years. He’s been her mentor as such. And I’d suggest he’ll still be there for her on the phone if needed (not that she will).

I actually get a feeling that’s part of the reason he’s moved when the chance arose - to let Vikki take the role and lead forward. He seems that sort of decent chap.

We should be proud of them both, and see this as a positive move for all, as it gives us a highly ranked woman on the 1st team staff, and is great for all young lads and lasses to see and maybe aspire to.

It's obviously a great personal achievement for Vikki Stevens and I'm sure she's more than capable of doing the job but we are definitely worse off with the loss of Sedgwick's knowledge and commitment to BFC.

Maybe - but if he actually fancied a change of scenery, what can you do?

Folk are quick to bash the club, but forget the staff also want to further their careers, have a change and also provide more for their families. This could be the case. Only those close to him will know the truth.

    This.

There’s no way we can compete with giants like Cleckhuddersfax.
