I've firstly stood then sat in the West stand for the best part of 40 years. I think I'll just take the refund.
Performance on and off the field an influence. However, can't view a map then on holiday next week, so leaning towards a refund and taking it on a game by game basis Sorry state of affairs.
I don't sit in the West Stand (I used to stand there in the days of terracing) but the one thing that stuck out like a sore thumb in this statement is the term "IF" and now "WHEN" the repairs would take place. Looking forward, this would be an ideal opportunity to introduce a safe standing area but I suppose one of the stumbling blocks would be entry and access issues.
Won't count anyway in all probability if we end up groundsharing which seems to be what these owners want.
Something stinks with this whole thing to be honest. So many odd things going on. Could be connected, could be all isolated coincidences. I'm very worried about the future of this club. The moves for disposal at Nice were an agitation of fans and a power play with the former CEO group over the repayment of an exorbitant loan. I wondered at the time if their exit strategy was one of creating friction with the minority owning group in an attempt to push an over the odds bid to get rid of them.
Short term fix until a new stand is finally built... Get the bulldozers in, flatten the structure, A bit of careful landscaping to the incline of the stand, then replace the current seating with the safe standing rail seats with no roof. Multiple birds downed with a single stone.
Has anyone attempted to change seat yet? How do you do it? Do you just phone the box office and hope, given the lack of a map, that through guesswork that you can find a decent seat. Or is there somewhere online to do it?
Mid Season Demolition party after the Sheff Utd match. All supporters allowed to come tooled up with hammers, explosives etc. Invite away fans to take part, more hands make light work. I fail to see any downsides or what could go wrong with such an idea . We may even uncover the tomb where Phil Gridelet was placed or the one Simon Davey had sealed off after entrapping Kim Christensen..
Had another fantastic idea, will be great for the winter and cheaper than the safe standing rail seat option following the 'Reds Mid Season Demolition'. Flatten the stand completely, introduce a moderate incline and introduce a UK groundbreaking new way to watch footy. 'Drive In Footy'. So you can sit in the comfort of your own car and watch the super reds. Catering staff on rollerskates will provide service direct to your vehicle after ordering on an app. Spectators in the 'Drive In' stand can tune into ifollow commentary as part of the package. Retro fit air horns / sound boxes can be purchased from the club shop, with specially selected chants suchs as 'We all, hate Leeds Scum' or 'Come on you reds' or a take on the bizarre chant for an all seater stadium 'Stand up for the Barnsley', suitably modified to 'In your Car for the Barnsley'.. Bonnet Stickers with your favourite players squad number along with car window flags can also be purchased from the club shop. Reight, all out of idea soup. going for a nap..
What a joke this is.... I guess the only positive would bee that if the west standers were to move to the east stand, it would look a lot fuller when broadcasted on tv
