Would Malik Wilkes, Luke Thomas, Cameron Mcgeehan and Conor Chaplin get in this current side? I didn't rate Luke Thomas but he got an A for effort and always looked to go forwards before he tripped over his own feet. Cameron Mcgeehan wasn't suited to playing out from the back but I rated him as a combative all action midfielder. Conor Chaplin could play the wider forward role well and had great energy. I'm lost as to why he was sold. Malik Wilkes offered skill and physicality up front. So what if he had an ego?
Not sure about Luke Thomas, but I’d have the others back in a heartbeat. I didn’t even rate Cam that highly, but he’d surely be an improvement on the powderpuff midfield we’ve had this season.
Selling Chaplin was a mistake. If we are trying to play more on the deck he would score goals at this level
The issue with his ego meant he didn’t turn up on match day, the player I saw perform only once would be brilliant for us. But the one who turned up for every other game is a waste of space.
Is that metaphorical? I thought he looked decent and defenders struggled to cope with him. His only vice for me was he was a bit greedy in front of goal. I reckon that could have been coached.
Remember when you think back fondly about an ex and then you actually remember she/he was a total ****
