Trying to finish next EyUp & Down. Not short of content (for obvious reasons) but everytime I think reyt next game ....... another bombshell is dropped. I don't know wether to laugh or cry...... Well actually I do.
So we've had deadlock between PMG, The BMBC and the Cryne's since Conway announced they were pulling the plug on buying the ground and would look into other options including possible ground share. BMBC and the Cryne's didn't buy the whole baby out of the bathwater routine and played a waiting game. Low and behold a year later the West Stand is closed for safety reasons. It seems that PMG inwardly never wanted to pull out of buying the ground and they're just posturing, trying to drive the price down. This latest bomb with the West Stand Closure is their attempt to get all parties talking again. Otherwise I can't see what they're trying to achieve.
Was Darryl Dike the one big gamble for the top league, and everyone lost interest when it didn't come off?
I don't think he was a gamble because he was an unknown. We weren't challenging at the time he signed. When he signed we'd lost three in a row and were in real danger of becoming that seasons Hull City.
The extension of his loan for the play offs may have been the gamble. I assume Orlando got their pound of flesh in exchange for us to have a go at the play offs.
I'd have liked to see him play in person, although the young Swansea defenders appeared to have his measure in the play offs.
First thing you do with a drama like this is log onto the bbs and read the queen's wetting their beds. Cracking read on a weekend.
I suspect it's part of a master plan with Bond villain levels of evil genius involved. Conway: How are you setting in as CEO?
