Good tweet. I wonder if away fans will be allowed a few more now those stewards in the west stand aren't needed there.
Hit them where it hurts well done....but be careful you might find yourselves ejected from the ground.....second thought maybe not lack of stewards lol supporters sorry customers as they like to refer to us don't count....they have the millwall mentality...no one likes us we do as we want we don't care....
I'm glad to see this. Absolutely right that the Supporters Trust should be able to open a dialogue about this issue that, unlike others we'd like to know more about, directly impacts 1000 loyal fans. Answers are needed. It's all very good speculating on how it might be a fantastic cost saving exercise. But the messing round of supporters without clear or at least trustworthy justification is the issue we as fans must concentrate on here and protect our stake in this club.
Any response? I can't help but feel the Trust are not being vocal enough on the events of the last week or so. The fact we have just given Sheffield United another 2k tickets when our own fans are not able to buy tickets is an absolute disgrace. Our fans could have had those tickets in the North Stand. Answers required.
The Fan Engagement Forum and CEO Q&A were announced later this day, however they were already being planned by the club but was part of our recommendation/request. Further comms/updates to follow but anything worthwhile needs time as anything right now would just be repeating what's already out in the open.
The thing is it shouldn't need time. Barnsley football club limited knows the exact reasons why they chose to close the stand and those reasons could have been published a week ago. The only reason it takes time is because they do not want the fans to know.
What exactly is requiring time? The club have released 2 statements which have not shown them in good light. The council's statement pretty much made the clubs statement appear full of lies/conflict. Considering the trust represent the fans, I would have expected them to have come out and made their views known considering the majority of the fan base is seething right now. Do you think the club is sufficiently aware of the fans views right now?
You're assuming everyone at the Trust twiddles their thumbs every night waiting for the opportunity to get together and discuss something. And that any questions they might have, or requests for clarity, are answers that we receive straight away. Add to that someone needs to put the time and thought in to that response, capture the general consensus of thoughts and feelings, and then plan releasing it. In answer to your question though - yes.
I don't think he was having a go at the trust (I certainly wasn't) but at the club who could clarify everything in a matter of hours at most yet have refused to do so
