To both parties: stop playing tittle tattle. 1) it's unprofessional and childish. 2) no one wins and 3) the fans are the ones who are being hurt.

Get together round the big table and sort it like grown ups.

There's that word advice again. How very sneaky. Whoever is writing our statements at the moment is deliberately wording things in such a way as to mislead the fans in my opinion and they should be ashamed of themselves.

I 'advise' that Paul Conway fécks off and takes his greedy mates with him

    Absolutely childish.

Completely typical. Wonder if we could get the Baby Trump blimp modified and flown over the west stand?

    Lost interest in this now.

Conway and his mates can **** off for me.

I've probably gone to my last game. And it was a loss to Millwall.

    Pricks.

Does anybody actually think the council would have told porkies on an official statement?

Why don't they just say exactly what needs/they want to be done and when/if they are going to do them rather than these stupid empty statements. They 'respectfully disagree' ffs. They sound like snooty colleagues sending passive aggressive emails.

yeah - I specifically mean the tit for tat swipes at each other, without actually giving any information.

That is spectacularly lacking in detail what do they disagree with?
The council say the stand passed its safety inspection are the club saying it failed? If so why were we at the millwall game
The club then go on to cite operational reasons. But the council made no mention of those in its statement.
This from the club is pathetic

30-15 to the council as this pathetic statement is the equivalent of hitting the ball straight into the net. Trying to be clever but making a huge balls up.

"The decision to close the West Stand was based on numerous operating factors, as highlighted in Thursday’s statement."
Give over. It was heavily I plied that it was due to structural safety. It's now changed to 'operating factors' after being called out on it.

"The Club are ultimately responsible for public safety and are required to meet the terms of the safety certificate that has been granted by the local authority"
That's correct and the council have already stated that the inspection found the stadium is fit for use at its full capacity as dictated in the safety certificate mentioned.

"The operational decision, in conjunction with advice from safety representatives, is the best course of action."
Operational decision.... Structural issues don't tend to be operational decisions do they Paul.
In conjunction with ADVICE. What advice? Why the deliberate vagueness and constant using of the word advice whilst implying it is a decision out of your hands?
Is the best course of action? For who? Not for the FOOTBALL club. Not for the paying supporters. For who? Greedy millionaires?

"With a Fan Engagement forum scheduled for 21 October, local press meeting on 22 October and a supporter question and answer session on 1 November, Barnsley FC Chief Executive Officer, Khaled El-Ahmad, will speak openly with all supporters and stakeholders across a number of topics. Until that time, no further comment will be made."
In other words shut up and stop moaning. We will tell you what we want to know when we want you to know it and you can **** off and shut up for the next few weeks while we get our propaganda in place.

Absolutely pathetic statement and if it was intended to appease the fans and lay the blame elsewhere well it's a massive own goal and does exactly the opposite.

Just féck off out of the club for good. I'd rather start again at the bottom of the pyramid than continue being owned by these morally bankrupt bastarda

But if they have been "advised", what would you suggest they do?

We look a joke, a club and local authorities should have a symbiotic relationship. The financial situation unfortunately demands it.
It's time the truth is told about the West Stand and our owners vision for the club in short/medium term. Starting with do they want Oakwell and are they considering moving the club.

Well for a start they could tell those of us who have been turfed out of our seats what that advice actually was if the stand is safe what is the reason for closing it and if it’s not safe what is wrong with it
And also what plan they have to fix it

Because they do not give a shiny shît about any of us. All they care about is making a constant modest return on player sales and they don't care who they hurt to do so. How they passed the fit and proper persons test I'll never know. It clearly doesn't account for morals, balls or dignity

they could elaborate on the advice given - as it seems they are saying that’s the reason for closing it. Can’t see why if it’s professional advice with sound reasoning it needs to be secret. Who’s it from and what does it pertain to.
