Apparently Derby's are going to waste approx £300 000 of creditors money on an apoeal. You'd think they'd learn from Wigan's mistake!

Their argument is based on lack of income due to covid! Of course they were so well run before covid :D

I didn't think it was but just double checked and actually you're right, it was. What a bunch of muppets they are then for going with the same argument :D:D

Especially when it's a rubbish argument. If it was valid, there would have been loads of clubs going into administration, not just a couple of them.

TBF there's quite a financial incentive, and they maybe believe they can learn from where Wigan went wrong.

I'm sure Derby's fiddling with the accounts which they still haven't fully divulged to the EFL is the reason. A waste of money, Mel MOrris made the decision to put the club into admin as did the Wigan owners.

It’s a pretty expensive punt that they’re taking. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was just another delaying tactic, to try and put off the hearing for their ffp penalty

Wigan lost their appeal, because the ‘owner’ was proven to have checked what the admin process was before COVID.
I’m guessing Derby won’t have this against them so they feel it’s more likely.
Derby are sort of club that could get away with using COVID, despite all the historical issues(all though they shouldn’t).

On a side issue, I believe Derby still have a Director on the board of the EFL, IMO any club undergoing Admin/ Points process shouldn’t be allowed someone on the board.

Worrying thing is, if they win the appeal, what’s to stop our owners taking the same route out?

It makes you wonder if the administrators have 'relationships' with certain lawyers who may be looking for some extra work.
