I honestly don't know how profitable it is when you take refreshments etc into account also.

The operational reason the west stand was closed fully now exposed...looks like I called it right last week in another thread. Another 72k + in the back pocket..so much for transparency....in my opinion weve had bullsh1t Ben
Looks like we've now got Arx5e hole EL -Ahmad.....
What really grates with me whilst putting sentiment to one side...if they had come straight out with ...we need to close the west stand because it will save us xyz in operating cost and by doing so we estimate we can bring xyz further revenue in by extending the capacity and revenue from away supporters ...we apologise to west stand ticket holders and besides offering you seats in other parts of the ground we will compensate you for the inconvenience that we as a club have caused....that in my book is not only total transparency but its totally honesty and the decent thing to do too...but no they have to lie and try to blame the safety certificate by claiming its the landlords fault and the stand isn't fit for purpose.....
They shot themselves in the foot big time
I don't think anybody would object massively yes there would be grumbling at the timing of the announcement but not on the scale we are seeing ....why alienate the fan base...transparency...don't make me laugh treacherous back stabbing money obsessed charlatans springs to mind....Decency...forgot Conway doent know the meaning of the word...he proved that with his 21 word statement let's not forget....once again just my opinions ....they are ripping the heart and sole out of our club whilst walking all over the fan base who stood firm and supported the club financially throughout the height of covid....theve no respect for any of us or our history all we ever hear is sound bites to appease the many
It's time these cowboys were run out of town...robbing the club blind ....if the accounts are correct ...( payments from working profit )
Conway is all ready on record saying that they are here until we tell him that they are not wanted and to Fxxk off his words

Well Paul Conway ...guess what....Fxxk off I for one have had enough of the lies and your organisation....now is that transparent enough for you

I'd expect the 'upon further inspection....' press release from the club in a week or two, at which point the West Stand is amazingly found to be fit for purpose again. Maybe after the Derby & Hull games. ..

Alternatively, we have the Ponty and East Stand singing "2-0, on your big day out" as the North stand empties faster than the reduced section in Morrisons bakery aisle

I knew he was a conman a few seasons back burnley in the FA Cup we lost one nil to a late pen around Xmas time at half time he was telling fans wait untill January some exciting signings in the pipeline.... that window we sold brad potts and replaced him with Jordan green. Never believed a word he said ever since.

I really hope so. Beating the blunts is one of the sweetest things going.

Still debating weather to go freeze me ballacks off to watch us pass sideways backwards have about 1 shot on goal and the blunts beat us 3 nowt. I'm a sucker for punishment though so I'll probably go.

Me too, I'll be there, but fear this could be a low point in a season that couldn't possibly get any worse from any perspective. I hope I'm wrong.

If we keep the current set up it will be a low point but I imagine there will be a even lower point come end of season

Sh*tting all over long standing loyal season ticket holders.

how much lower can these locusts go ? banking away fans pay on the day revenue over their own supporters. How many clubs in the country won’t allow any pay in the day fans in the home ends. You can’t make this carp up !

Hope they choke on it…….absolutely disgusting way to treat your fans but hey ho as long as the tills are ringing with away fans money who gives a flying f*** because these owners obviously don’t.

I’ll be looking for the puppet strings on our new CEO the next time he speaks in person.

    Billionaire owners Poundland ambition

I'm hoping not, but the current trajectory says you could well be right.

Couldn't feel more disconnected to the club at the minute. Never been sold on these owners but this is a new low for them.

Pardon my ignorance, but did Forest sell out their initial allocation late in the day? Or a week and a half before the match like Sheffield United have?

Because if Forest sold out 3 days before the match, its not quite the same really.

I'm sure if we had closed the west stand we could have gave them more as we would have more stewards available. As it happens didnt a few forest fans end up in the west stand?

Sold out quickly, and could have sold more if given the opportunity, based on my recollections of some posts from their supporters leading upto the game. Similarly, for Birmingham City.

If they sold out close to the game (with it being all ticket) I don't think we'd give them more tickets. We never have in the past.

Could have gave them another 500 or so its happened to us in the past when the demands been there. Looks abit sus though away allocation cut to 2k due to low stewards, west stand shuts suddenly 2k more tickets for away fans.

It'll be bitter sweet if a miracle happens and we win... With all the crap at the moment it would be a pyrrhic victory

I’d still take it. It would be very much like us to have so much crap going on and then go and win a South Yorkshire derby.
