I'm not sure I've seen anyone still in favour of the board now? Seems like the fans are pretty united in dismay at the minute.
The length of time he has been with the club is irrelevant, as CEO he carries legal responsibility and accountability for the decisions and actions of the company, by my reckoning that also gives him the moral and ethical responsibility. He’s had a less than auspicious start to his position at BFC.
It depends. If he’s willing to provide clarity on what work needs to be done on the west stand, whether the club has made plans to do it, and something meaningful about the dispute between the owners and the future of Oakwell, then go ahead. Otherwise it’ll be a waste of time and he’ll alienate fans even more.
Anything that goes against the agenda of the people who use such language. Is their problem not yours. When roles are reversed. The blinkers come on. Cos it doesn’t suit em. I know BMW and where he/they (others) come from. Not for 1 minute do I think they’re pro board. To the extent people accuse them of. Their view is as valid as anyone else’s. Just cos folk don’t agree. Shouldn’t pigeonhole em.
Maybe not, but any one who's shown support for the board (as far as I can see) have just been asking for concrete evidence that the board are ne'er-do-wells before we load the catapults and get the battering ram out of storage.
I was pro board until the lies started. Everyone gets a clean slate when they start at a new club - but trust is earned. You give anyone the benefit of the doubt after a mistake. But if it happens again and is covered up by a lie, then you begin to question it. 4 years on and now I feel the opposite. Whenever anything comes from The Club I immediately question it because they're probably lying. Allegedly of course, in case Mr Conway is reading.
I'm not just talking about this, I'm saying that whenever they have done something in the past a small minority of two or three come out in support of them seemingly no matter what, somehow believing they are being loyal to BFC. That seems to have reduced further now though. People were fairly quiet last year because there were no significant issues and things looked ok. Now things have deteriorated and people are rightly very pissed off.
I can't really think of anyone that deserves the label of 'pro-board'. I can think of people who have been 'pro-patience', 'anti-rumours' and just generally not as quick to be as negative as others, but nobody that has conclusively had a stance that the board can do no wrong no matter what. Not sure why we're going back down the rabbit hole of trying to label supporters or BBS'ers based on them having a different opinion.
Its the state of the society we live in isn't it? If you're not with me you're against me and it isn't open to debate.
Yep. For some reason there seems to be a need to pick a side. Not helped by the press releases put out by the three parties in the last 12 months which have just been a grab for public opinion. What we need is for PMG, the Crynes and the council to work together to find a way that Oakwell can be restored to what it needs to be for the club and the community.
100% Titus. But I would argue that some posters use unfair language to those who have an open mind. Very good point Fonzie. But we need to find out who ultimately made the decision. Did it meet with approval of the full board. ( Maybe James would like to answer that one as a significant shareholder. I certainly wouldn't take flak if I was against the decision)
I think people are just at the end of their tether and upset that's all. I can empathise with people in the West Stand and if someone is brushing it off or playing it down a little then naturally some are going to lose their rag.
Be like a Q&A with Boris, Blah, blah blah ,somebody elses fault, freezer, have they gone yet. Transparency, you will probably be able to see right through him.
I’m a West Stand season ticket holder. I’m more than annoyed at being moved during the season. From a business point of view, it does makes sense though. But they should have called it earlier in the summer, not 6/7 games in. Simple.
Bet the owners thought the team would be doing better than it presently is. Let's face it, if we were in the top 6 then most fans would swallow any old titbit of maladministration from the owners as long as the league table looked OK.
It would be the opposite affect actually - the West Stand would be more full and so would the other stands - meaning they couldn’t close the West due to the demand.
I think your right with that tbh , We still want answeres but if we were ten league places further up there’s be more patience apart from the west stand evictions that is which less than a dozen games into the season need a lot of explanations and a hell of a lot of goodwill to the affected fans which isn’t happening .
