MARKUS SCHOPP PREVIEWS READING CLASH Interviews The Reds' Head Coach looks ahead to Saturday's trip to take on Reading in the Sky Bet Championship. Continue reading on the official site...
Schopp must know we've no hope, at this point. There's some talent in this squad for sure but almost no experience. Particularly in the middle of the pitch. Palmer's the most experienced centre mid - it's mad.
This is what I mean when I say Schopp isn't as bad as it seems. He's completely hamstrung with injuries and bad recruitment. CAVEAT. I know he hasn't exactly filled everyone with confidence with some of his decision making.
I too am starting to feel a little bit sorry for him. He desperately needs something to click with the players and them to put in a confidence boosting performance. I'd also like him to give us a bit more insight into how he thinks the team can play under his guidance in terms of tactics, but then again it was so straightforward and blunt edged under Ismael, that we didn't even have to try hard to understand what he was doing.
At this point I've written this season off, I'm just praying that we stay up and we've got a ground come May.
This could well be the case and I think a few more games maybe five or six we need to see some vast improvements . For me his coaching comes into question when the players heads goes down during games and maybe it’s because I’ve got used to Val and Stendall and to an extent Struber of them constantly giving them encouragement and instructions etc being animated on the touch line and I don’t see that with Schopp. He just seems to leave them to their own devices to pick each other up or not as the case maybe . For me when some of their heads drop it looks like they not trying which most likely isn’t the case but ffs Marcus give em some sort of encouragement at least it’ll look to the fans that you care which we not getting at present .
Agree with what others have added - and yes, I would maybe like to see more from Markus. But it's like trying to play Poker after going all in all in with a pair of 7s when the other two 7s are in someone's pocket.
Any reds players reading this forum, please, do the opposite to what Schopp says and you’ll probably be alright.
Yeah we've had injurys this season but Footballs hardly been riveting we've had more announcements about the stadium than goals from open play. And his decision making leaves alot to be desired.
Could have done with an experienced loan like dike...... seriously though schopps biggest mistake was loaning kane out and picking moon for center midfield over actual center midfielders
Lets hope they start on Saturday, and see something much more similar to the first 60 minutes against QPR.
As opposed to the performances against Bournemouth, Blackpool, Forest & Millwall and I'm being generous just naming those games.
