Your clinging on to 45 minutes v qpr until Warburton made changes and changed formation. Probably the only decent 45 minutes we have played all season. I admire your optimism.
After the week or so we've had with off the field issues, surely we'd all love us to turn out a decent performance and pick up points on Saturday? If we can play like we did in that first 60 minutes, we can do it again. If Schopp can't muster that and an upturn in results, you'd expect his time will likely run out very soon (though you never want to second guess these owners with anything).
If clutching at straws was an Olympic event, you'd be a gold medal contender. Had our performance against QPR been indicative of our general display during the rest of our games, then I'd say you were 100% correct. Sadly, it hasn't been and we've had dreadful results and performances. That particular display has been the exception rather than the rule and I'd suggest we'll all be shocked to see it repeated.
Its the best performance by a distance. Though I thought we played some decent stuff against Stoke and Luton. But the last few games (though i've only seen extended highlights apart from Forest, not full game) have been disappointing for sure. If he can't get them organised after 2 weeks during the international break... well, I think we can all assume what should be most likely to happen.
So you want us to lose horrendously on Saturday? I'm confused. Surely you must want us to play well and win, no?
Yes, that's EXACTLY what I want(!) Good grief. I thought better of you, even though we don't always see eye to eye.
Likewise. I'd thought my want for 3 points and a good performance along the lines of the first 60 mins of QPR would be a universal sentiment. Even more so given the fortnight we've endured.
It IS a universal sentiment. I'm a bit confused where I'm supposed to have claimed otherwise. I've simply said everyone will be shocked to see a repeat performance. Happy, but shocked taking into account the results and performances so far.
If we were told Schopp would be sacked if we lost Saturday, I’d take it on the chin. No point in prolonging it.
Then let us hope that many ghasts are well and truly flabbered come 5pm on Saturday! I think it's fair to say some respite from the downward spirals on and off the field would give everyone a lift and a little hope.
That's always my hope, whether we were at the bottom of the old Fourth Division, or in the Premier League. However, after what I've witnessed so far this season, I don't think it'll happen.
I'll be overjoyed. If we play well, I'll say so. If we're not, I'll also say so. Yours An Official Happy Clapper.
That's not being a happy clapper at all though is it? It's just sharing your views and being confident enough to change them. Which is a good thing.
He has had a rough deal with injuries but thats not the only problem' his team selection is questionable but some of his substitutions are just crazy it really does seem like he's clutching at straws at times...
You'll not find a post of mine where I've demanded the Head Coach be sacked. However, neither am I blind & conveniently ignoring poor results and performances from the team this season. All I want is for our Head Coach to do his job properly. I accept injuries & visa issues haven't helped him. Nor has puzzling team selections, either.
Had we had a settled summer, and I think there would be very few who would suggest it was anywhere close, I'd certainly be more critical. But given what happened and whats transpired, as poor as it is, I can appreciate the mitigating factors. Though I am concerned by a defence that has completely disintegrated at times and how the team seems to fade very swiftly. But obviously his clock is ticking, and I suspect he's very aware of that.
