Bet they'll tighten that up second half, shame we didn't manage a goal.

    Pretty decent first half display.

Woodrow has been excellent. Brittain's crosses are tosh.

    S'abart it.

Nothing new there then with Britain's crossing. It's been dog **** since he joined.

Wouldn't say exactly cracking, but better than a few of recent performances.

A few moments thats all of some nice play, a few passes strung together. Same old problem though, absolutely toothless when we get within 20 yards of goal.

Still no real option on the bench up front.

When we get a free kick on the half way line, we don’t put the ball into the box.

Benson was supposed to be the new set piece guy wasn’t he?

My greatest frustration (there's that word again) with referees, is not when they are good, or bad, but when they are inconsistent. A good ref will keep the game flowing, a bad ref will spoil the flow of the game, but an inconsistent ref ruins the spectacle. I don't believe all refs are consciously biased and I do admit that I am unconsciously biased as to what I see. This ref is a prime example, with fouls given and not given, and when cards are waved, and not waved.

To put it mildly, it simmers my urine (I think that's the phrase).

This is another downside of our poor scoring record. The opposition can do this because they know we can’t hurt them.

I think that’s one reason why we appear to fade. Not always is it us fading, but the opposition gaining confidence.

Saying that, we’ve looked much more at it today in the final third. Good moves for the Iseka and Woodrow chances (the former hit it where the latter failed to). Palmer and Gomes have tried to be positive on the ball, but that final delivery does let us down.

Hoping we maintain some form of this level for the full game and take one of our chances.

Yep. If we still had Dike I reckon we'd be beating these.

Well much better half than I was expecting. Usual poor ref not sure if the “foul” in the box was a pen or if the defender got the ball as far side to me but there was one on the edge of the box clear foul not given. Then on of their players slips on the edge of our box and free kick and booking for Britain who never touched him. Still fearful Collins great save from their corner a d though we have created some decent chances you still don’t feel we will score. Lot better than against Millwall though

Basically saying Reading just needed to turn up because our form has been that bad.

Other gems included calling Helik being injured ‘antics’ and almost saying he faked injury. Also made a claim that the linesman might be a Barnsley fan, but then followed it up by saying ‘that’s not to say his decisions haven’t been correct’. So he’s a Barnsley fan by doing his job and doing it well?

Thought it was a foul myself. Wasn’t much of a complaint from Brittain on the yellow card either.

I thought Brittain seemed really lively listening to the commentary, so want him to get that goal, he's gone so close!
