I'm a bit lost mate so not sure how to respond on this one. Not been rude by not replying, I just thought you said we hadn't progressed in four years to which I replied saying not many of us thought that six months ago - which shows you how bad the Summer has been.

And I’m saying last year masked the lack of progression not because we had a bad sumner but because theres been no investment .
Last year was a one off and hid the non investment if you thought the investment side was ok last year because the team were doing well that’s fair enough but my feelings were that promotion was probably the only way we were gonna get any progression and even thinking that we’re iffy with this lot .

I'm not sure that wold have been a majority view. We'd only sold Jacob Brown in the Summer, avoided any sales in January including Mowatt, and brought in Morris, Kitching and Dike. Barring maybe one more signing I think from a transfer perspective everyone was relatively happy.

The players we were all raving about were on long term contracts and the position we found ourselves in with Pinnock didn't look like a possibility with the new crop. The re-investment in to the right players appeared, on the face of it, to be coming strong. Then the Summer came. And we're now where we are today which feels an absolute million miles from May.

There were rumblings of a rift with the owners even last year .
Club were actively looking to ground share and court proceedings were threatened by the 80%
My hope was to get promoted last year as I did expect this year to cause a few problems .
However after seeing ST sales going well up and the owners praising the fans I thought maybe they might invest and things calm down.
Didn’t last long though and I may have been in a minority in thinking that but there seemed plenty on this board with that opinion and stronger .

Your organisation sent me a nice email saying they held their hands up, they'd got a marketing campaign spectacularly wrong. It was a nice email, coupled with an apology and a nice offer.

So I ordered another £50's worth of ale to store for Xmas.

It wasn't the offer that impressed me as such, it was the admission and apology that sealed the deal.

    It's the little things.

Apologies, this is something I began writing last night as I'd downloaded the last one. My intention was to give you a link to it but I could no longer find it, at which point there was no point replying. However, what I began writing remained, I didn't spot it when I posted on another subject today and mistakenly posted this too.

I can confirm I've seen previous safety certificates, but as I can't provide a link, that's really not much use.

Is the safety certificate what I posted on the BBS yesterday?

But what people are asking to see is the actual report, which isn't in the public domain?

The safety certificates are available online and I've screenshot from them before on here, but the actual inspection reports- i.e showing what is or isn't wrong with the ground- which you originally quoted me for aren't from what I can see. I was talking about the inspection reports not the certificate.

last year I didn't think we'd progressed off the field. Saw absolutely no evidence of that. We got lucky with an excellent manager that's all

Not sure I agree, and it's difficult to argue either way when we weren't at Oakwell regularly. To me though at least, recruitment/retention seemed to have improved and on the right track, the connection with the fans felt strong all things considered, and the communication was regular and detailed. I thought the pricing for season tickets was a real positive too and the sales seem to support that (including the Covid season as well).

My opinion is that all roads right now lead to an absolute shambles of a Summer. I think we all hoped the momentum of last season would be enough to see us through this first quarter of the season in better shape, but as we stare at a potential sixth defat on the spin you can pinpoint so many issues from June to August that the majority of us didn't think were as bad at the time. Conway was in charge at that time so I think he should be the one explaining how he led us through such a damaging period that has got us to where we are now.

Cheers. Did you post something else as well last night or did I completely imagine that?

Also interesting that it's now in black and white what I've said for a few years now that the council has reduced the s factor of the away end and thus the capacity due to poor stewarding and yet we chose the same steward company again.

I only posted this. Possibly by complete coincidence, but the council e-mailed to say this was online and we might want to share it with supporters at the exact same time the Fans' Forum started.

It was more strange than that even. I had mentioned in the forum only minutes before we didnt have a reply from the council

That's true actually. I sent you a snapshot of the e-mail and you replied saying 'I just mentioned the council'!
