In what sense? They all have a part to play. They are all pointing fingers at each other. Despite the actual percentages they own. Maybe only the council is coming out in better light, but, are they? They are part of the crew that are limiting capacity....... So, with respect, maybe expand why you disagree, because to me, they are all on a dick waving contest, and it's not helpful when the players and fans and to some extent (even though I have absolutely no respect for him) MS are all caught in the cross hairs
I take equal to mean an equal responsibility. And they don't. The ones in control are the 80% . And they could have had at least Crynes 50% of the ground but they chose not to. HTH my post.
Fair enough, maybe my use of equal was not the best term. They are all causing issues, and the current stand off, I mean in equal terms of pointing fingers, as apposed to equal ownership. In other words, as bad as each other, if that makes more sense. Responsibly, they are all part responsible, ownership yeah and legally percentages are in place. It isn't helping with so many fingers in the pie. It's too top heavy to come to a conclusion as far as I can see. It's a complete mess, either way, I think we can all agree with that. And everyone below them, players, manager, fans, are all being kicked in the nether regions for it... That make more sense as to how I was trying to project it?
It is a mess I agree. However, the only people who have the power and indeed the money to sort it is the 80%. and if they showed the inclination I would be very surprised if the Crynes didn't put up The money proportionally, maybe even by forgoing their share of The renting something the council just can't use tax payers money in that way. They may however be able to offer a longer lease\ reduced rent if the owners actually stick their hands in their pockets for once.
Not sure how the council get dragged into this. They invested in us when no one else would. They protect the ground from being flattened and turned into a housing estate. They charge us what is in relative terms a peppercorn rent. We break pretty much every part of the rental agreement but take no punitive action. They complete a routine safety check that west Stand passes. Our board lie about that and pretend it’s unsafe. The council make a statement that the stand is safe. The shitshow isn’t their fault.
That's the burning question. Nobody can actually prove these 80 percenters, actually have money behind them They say they have the money in escrow for the ground share. And money was pushed into the accounts to buy the initial share. Other than that..... And if this consortium does have anywhere near the 6.odd billion behind them is which is claimed.... I'd rather not burden the crynes putting more in. I'm far from a fan of them, and I was equally (sorry, that term again) critical of PC when he was alive. I think they have done their best, even if it wasn't how I would have done it, but they did put their money in where it mattered. I won't forget that, I really won't. It still doesn't mean I liked some of the decisions. We are all hurting. It's only natural to try blame. As always, the only ever constant at any club, are the fans. And we deserve better than what's going on. Both on the pitch and off it. It's a horror show right now
Some people wanted Cryne out and "anybody else in". I'm sure they're some of the same people wanting to spin the wheel of fortune once more.
I get it's a bit of a **** show at the minute, but I honestly don't think we'd be having this discussion if we were in the top half of the table, like we were last season. Fans always seem to get vocal about the ownership when the club aren't performing on the pitch. I mean there's a reply further up that has said they'd be happy for Conway etc to stay if they sack Schopp. The two things aren't even remotely related. The West Stand issue needs to be resolved, but I don't think it can until the ownership issues are resolved between the club, the Crynes, Pacific Media group, the Council and whoever else is involved. I honestly don't see how the current situation benefits Paul Conway, and therefore I don't think he's necessarily the only problem. So no. The uncertainty of what new ownership brings isn't something I think we need right now, considering the problems we currently have mounting up.
Exactly. This ownership argument is just daft. If Schopp was sacked tomorrow, and the West Stand re-opened next week, folk would have to find something else to moan about. Football ain’t perfect, but Christ, we could have a LOT worse owners. Just look at Utd and Weds owners.
