He is starting to get some real abuse from all sections now. Fans on here, fans in the stadium his own players possibly cold-shouldering him and he has to carry on giving press conferences and putting out statements. Must not be very good for him right now. That's on a human level of course as I have wanted him to go for a while now.
The board should do the right thing and relieve him of his duties, take the heat off the guy and let him get back to his family.

He's brought the entire thing in himself.

    Zero sympathy

I agree, from a human point of view and considering his mental health it isn’t pleasant. It hasn’t worked, he needs to go for our sake and his own.

People resign from jobs all the time. He has that option if he isn't happy with the ill feeling towards him that his poor his job performance and attitude at work has created.

    I don't agree with abuse.

I do however understand the anger as he's had umpteen opportunities to realise that certain players do better in certain positions, yet he still persists with his bizarre choices and formations.

If he showed that he could take criticism, took responsibility for his weirdness and acknowledged the fans, he might not be in this situation.

He could resign, if you cannot stand the heat get out of the kitchen , I do not believe in personal abuse, it is bang out of order but if he is clearly struggling with the job & the situation then he could take the honourable way out , no shame in that .

He’s been dealt a very bad bad by circumstances beyond his control. However I’m afraid he’s just not up to it r

    100% correct.

As a person, I feel for him. Can’t be easy going to work and being told you are **** and being boo’d.

Any other job you’d be off with stress or taking your employers to a tribunal for failing to stop the harassment.

But yeah, the fella just needs to chill back home with his family and come back stronger elsewhere.

Maybe - but we don’t know the full story behind the scenes. He might feel hard-done due to failed promises or lack of new staff.

Maybe because of this, he feels he should be paid out accordingly.

Given our board’s financial approach could leaving him to resign be the strategy?

No payment required, bring in another and start again.

Then he's an even bigger disgrace than I thought if he's trying to get paid out. Although it would explain his actions.

Not entirely. I agree, felt a bit like kicking him when he's down.

If he doesn't like opinions about him he can make us all happy and stop stealing a wage by quitting.

I was just thinking exactly the same. It really can't be fun for him, and his mental health is far more important than football when all's said and done. However, he is clearly very, very bad at the job he was employed to do. If I was clearly that useless and inspired zero confidence in the people I work with, then I'd fully expect to be relieved of my duties. Nothing personal, it's just the way of the world.

He might do & I know what you mean but come on the bloke plays players out of position , his substitutions & game management have been shocking , he might be a cracking bloke but a championship manager seems a step too far for him , he appears out of his depth.

Just to simplify things. He's turned a very decent championship side into a load of crap. He's waiting for a pay off.

I think he's not tactically aware and doesn't help himself and he could of course quit. Perhaps he's a bit too proud to do that though...I was just contemplating on the fact that he seems friendless, isolated, in a foreign country etc etc... As I said the best thing would be for the board to relieve him. It would be good for everyone if they did.
