Tell me again why he isn't allowed to resign from a job he's not happy in? Apart from wanting a pay off of course.
So then when he's brought the situation on himself by his poor job performance and poor attitude whilst at work why should I have any sympathy for him if he refuses to resign?
Stop picking 5hit teams for starters. We've lost last six before a ball was kicked. No sympathy. If he doesn't like it he can f cuk off.
Not necessarily. If I left my current job to start teaching at a new school in a different country that had told me all sorts of supportive wonderful things to get me to interview and look around and then when I started they showed me the behaviour policy that basically said 'the kids can do no wrong', and they told me the exact way I had to teach that was guaranteed to be b@llacks and basically completely stitched me up like a kipper so that I was getting abuse from the parents, I might want some compensation for wasting my time, leaving a job and moving country. Saying that, that's how my last school basically became and I did just choose to resign with only 1 day off sick with stress so maybe I wouldn't. Others definitely waited until they were pushed though (still working - some did go on long term stress but to be fair they needed to. I basically just did my stress break unpaid before applying for a new job) or just kept going and tried to pretend everything was ok whilst things went up in flames around them. I left 5 years ago and I think there are only 2 teachers remaining from when I was there, and they are nearing retirement.
Tbf he hasn’t brought personal abuse upon himself. Whatever happens, he’s a human being. He’s just a really poor football coach at this level. I’m sure he’s trying his best. The ownership now need to step up and act. He’s obviously not gonna quit. No one in his position would.
I get what you mean. Honestly I do. Yes I do feel sorry for the bloke when it's abuse, but I can't in anyway feel sympathy after some of his selections and excuses he trots out. He's just out of his depth IMO
We're not normal fans Marcus, we aren't the prawn sandwich brigade. We love our club and have seen some bad times at our club. We can also see when someone is out of the depth, and making a squad of young players look rubbish. Usually starts when we see the team sheet. Marcus look up Steve Parkin, and Paul Hart. 2 unemotional and tactically inept managers.
He'll also get a good pay off for being out of his depth. He won't be worried about his energy bills this winter.
Totally agree he’s out of his depth. Seems he’s lost the players now as well as the fans. Position totally untenable for me, but I suspect he lives to see another day. He would have gone by now if he was going.
Can't condone abuse but we don't know how mentally strong this guy is.Like other posters have said, most people would just walk however £650,000 payoff might swing it !.I'm basing my figures on a 3 year contract on £5,000 per week less the three months or so he's already been here. And that's why he ain't walking.
There’s no way he will walk and waive away his compo. You’re saying most people would just walk. I don’t think they would. How many managers have done that?
Only way this ends is if a compromise sum is agreed. Schopp could damage his own future if this continues. I'm sure his agent will have his/her eye on this. He might get a job in Austria again but it's no guarantee. Even lower league German teams could be put off. Either way our board would have to pay out.
Dear Mr Conway, I would like to arrange a meeting to discuss my resignation.......... is always a good starting point. You've not done it, but signals intent and that you're open to a deal.
