It's a fire risk for season ticket holders and pay on the day supporters, but apparently not for:

    Directors & VIP's
    Press
    Cameramen

(The above I think we were expecting to be the case, based on feedback from KEA)

    Also:
The entourage of the two teams beyond those in the dugout
    Police / stewards(!) / St John's ambulance
    Ball boys
A very obese Sheff Utd mascot bloke in full kit
A couple of additional cameramen in the lower tier, presumably part of the performance analysis team.
A small group of people sat to the right of the directors' box.
A random looking group of lads in black tracksuits in the Upper Tier near the away end (youth team members?)

In short, there were far more people in there, perhaps 100 or so, than you would expect to see in a stand that has been deemed to be a fire risk. It must have been galling for those evicted from there against their will to have seen it being used by quite so many people.

Perhaps it could be argued that many of them are part of the matchday operation, so it's similar to still having people in the dugout. However, if I'm the person who decided to close the stand on the basis of the risk factors presented by the fire risk, I'd be alarmed that so many people are still sitting within it.

Not a good look from where I was sitting. IMG20211024125900_compress59.jpg IMG20211024125953_compress71.jpg

Sibbick really took a risk running in there to retrieve the ball in the first half.

    My wife couldn't even look.

Can't believe he survived to be honest.

Was going to post about this, That was a joke police making home fans either wait untill 10minutes sheffield United fans dispersed or walk towards the mount and round. It lasted about 4 minutes untill more people came out and eventually broke past police who then gave up trying to enforce it.

I’m guessing evacuating 100 people is easier than trying to evacuate a couple of thousand….

Lets clear one thing up , there is no fire risk otherwise the recent safety certificate would not have been issued . I sat looking at the west stand from my wonderful seat I have been given down by the corner flag in the east stand lower , I sat looking in anger when I saw the directors taking their seats , I looked in anger when I looked at my seat in the west stand which is obviously mounted on a flammable concrete with a flammable none existent roof above it being I am sat in the open air , there cannot be a safer seat in any ground in the country but the contempt these owners bestow upon us by sitting there is sickening , I left the ground feeling empty , not because of the result simply because the result no longer bothered me , no because those suits sat there taking the piss & they have well & truly broken my spirit , I no longer care .

Lino on that side of the pitch gets a free pass now every game with no fans behind him to question influence/question decisions too.

Given all the talk from our CEO about safety, it was a bit bizarre!

I wonder how many seconds it would take per 100 people to evacuate out of there.

If there's one thing Sibbick is not, it's being risk-averse.
