So last week there was a post regarding James cryne along with one of the other investors where looking at purchasing the 80% owned by the conman and co. I’ve managed to find a few little bits out, they’re from a life long friend of mine who was up until 2019 employed by the club. He’s done some digging and he’s been told that at the end of last season there were talks had by cryne and the owners. James was apparently unable to secure another investor so the deal was a non starter. Whether he’s still looking for another investor he’s not sure, but don’t get your hopes up. Now, onto the playing side. Now I don’t like Schopp, but I found this info out yesterday evening but I held off posting this until after the game. My pal still remains close with one particular player from his time at the club. He basically said the intensity in training is the lowest he’s experienced at any club and lacks any purpose. Work on formations is only practised the day before the game, says players are feeling lost. He did say in fairness a few of the lads expected a hangover from the previous season but feels they’re being held back. Players are unhappy, claims they’re giving it their all but the system is broken and not suited but it never seems to change. There was more things but a lot of which has already been posted. If I hear anything new I’ll make sure I report it back but I doubt I will for another couple of weeks.
Sad but not surprised on the takeover thing. Also not surprised on the player feedback. It’s clear that the owners completely took there eye off the ball regarding many things and scoop was shafted to some extent but no excuse for how he has handled the situation. His position has been untenable since the Britain comments after Millwall but still he bumbles on just waiting to be fired and have his contract paid up.
While I think on, I missed this bit out which I found mind blowing. In the loss to Millwall he sat down in the dressing room and said nothing. Collins fumed at a few players claiming he was let down. The rest of them just stayed silent with the gaffer. Not one word was spoken in the dressing room, barring our goalkeeper. Dead fish eyes?
The blokes out of his depth the jobs too big for him. I'm not sure how big the club was he came from in comparison to BFC but it appears that he just can't handle the job he's been given. Sad really because I'm sure it's not doing his mental or physical health any good if the board had an ounce of compassion they'd relieve him of his duties now
I don’t think they dare. Yes basically their flood defence system, once that’s removed the tide will smash against the board and it’ll unravel a lot worse secrets. **** PMG, and **** Khaled aswell. He’s as bad as they are. Complete puppet.
I’m not defending him, but he might not be that kind of Head Coach. He might normally have the others in his regular team take that role immediately after a game. There’s loads of successful managers who left it to the assistant or first team coaches to read the riot act. It is his job though to adapt and deal with whatever setup he believes he has now. Longer this goes on the more annoyed I am at how our coaching team got decimated in the Summer and Schopp has come over on his own. If he couldn’t bring his team with him to have a proper go at it he shouldn’t have been given the job.
Thanks very much for all this depressing information. If Schopp keeps his job, surely it would be a virtually unprecedented situation. It's hard to believe the motivation of the owners could be anything other than a reluctance to pay compensation. It would be a good thing if Woodrow could lead a delegation of players to put our CEO fully in the picture and demand that Schopp be dismissed, in the best interests of all concerned.
I’m sorry it couldn’t be more positive buddy but let’s face it, non of it is groundbreaking news to us is it? such a sad state of affairs.
Can't help but think (if this is correct) that this shows Cauley as wrong choice of captain. He should be speaking after matches, he should be explaining to Schopp that they're used to more intense training and feel it would benefit them, he should be getting the lads together to organise some more intense shooting practise whatever. Alex would have I'm sure. This is where I get irked with the players a bit though, they're professionals they know the practice drills get on and practice them! The formations is solely down to the coaches to decide on ,granted. However, as it is hearsay I hope it has been badly exaggerated as if true things don't seem to be looking up.
Schopp is hopelessly out of his depth but the blame squarely lay at the door of the board. They’re responsible - we are sleep walking into league one. If we act now we may just have a chance of scraping out of it.
Employed by the club until 2019 yet manages to dig all this up? Ok... Aren't you the guy that said that Murray was a ssssnake, yet every single person at the club while he was there had nothing but good things to say about him? I'll get my "news" elsewhere, thanks.
Agreed stendel was sacked for less than this i don't trust him to pick a team, God knows what they do in training, he lost the dressing room weeks ago. If they don't sack him its neglect of the club, fans and players. I cant understand why the club give managers 3 year deals either if there good they will just get poached and **** off, if there ***** we will have to pay them off lose, lose really.
2 million for Val and whatever they got for Struber worth giving longer contracts for in the eyes of the owners.
Yes but for us its **** im sure 90% of the fans wanted val to stay. And 99% must have seen through this clown by now surely the only thing keeping hin here is the payout.
You're well within your rights to state your opinion. I take most things I read on this board with a massive pinch of salt unless I have good reason to believe otherwise, such as knowing the poster personally and that they are reliable. I don't know Goldthorpe Red, but looking at the performances on the field, what he's written can hardly be described as outlandish.
If you get chance listen to Gary Neville after yesterday’s Liverpool game, there’s a few obvious similarities Lack of intensity in training Lack of desire in team defending a goal with their life Lack of drills in defending The press doesn’t work if one player doesn’t do their job.
I have a family member who was employed by the club until 2018, he still won’t discuss what happened at the club whilst there(as feels it’s wrong to do) and does not discuss what’s going on except to say he hears the training has gone astray(his words). He won’t divulge more and like others say not exactly breaking news.
It's literally a rehash of everything that's already been doing the rounds. Close friend of a player still at the club from 2019? Narrows it down a lot as there are only 11 first teamers still in the squad from that date. I'm sure if the club wanted to investigate information such as a board members financial endeavours and dressing room leaks, they'd be able to figure that out pretty easily, if this information was true that is.
