Cracking crowd again (not!). I wonder how much they paid the ICC to get this. Totally wrong though. World Cup Competitions should have big crowds.

Oh and that Bangladeshi anthem. Is there a longer one in the world?

To be fair it was meant to be in India but they couldn’t host it due to COVID so it made sense to host it in the emirates where they have the facilities ready and waiting.

Not sure why they elected to bat first after we got WI out for 55? Would have made it more of a game batting last surely?

Could be a potential Banana Skin this game. They like bloodying the noses of the big test nations.

It worked well v West Indies so they will persevere I suppose, esp if the openers are lefties. I note Yorkshire have taken to Adam Lyth opening the bowling occasionally too so it may be the fashion. Personally I think its only in the first few overs that the white ball does anything off the seam and in the air, so seems a bit of a waste to me.

It’s gone a bit under the radar but Harry Brook has been selected for the Lions in their back up Ashes tour as Sibley has dropped out.
He was born in Cas but spent most of his years at Ilkley and a mate of mine is a friend of his father.

Whilst on the subject of Yorkshire born players, Tymal Mills was born in Dewsbury but he deserted us early on !!

Having a leg spinner bowling the 19th over to a left hander seemed an odd choice.

He was due in Australia to play in the Big Bash for Hobart Hurricanes. Got to think he's close to being given a test place.

He’s captained Eng U18/19’s a few years ago and after the season he’s just had, I thought he would have been an automatic selection for the Lions in Aus.
I thought that he was maybe being earmarked for white ball games.
    What do you think ?

Anyway, he’s a class all rounder and only early twenties so he’ll play for the senior team in some capacity surely.
Must stop calling you Shirley !

Just realised our dirty green away strip is the same shade of green as Bangla’s. I wish we’d drop that one. Prefer white and black
