So thats a yes then ;-) The older you get, the more opportunity to gain experience you have. Life experience can play a big part in a persons development. That comes with time (some faster than others). Its indisputable that time equates to more opportunity to gain experience. I understand what you're trying to get across, but we're shifting back to signing players with very little experience at all. With minimal life experience. But it's balance I feel is important. All young heads need some older ones. All older ones needs some younger ones. If you have all the same, you have no diversity. So if we end up with all 23 yo's and younger, I think we've got even bigger problems than we have now.
I'm not disagreeing that a older player will have more life experience probley better at crosswords etc than the younger person. But football terms age and experience are two diffrent things mistaken often. I do agree with you though we could have done with midfielder who has played in this league before to replace the loss of mowatt, although we wouldn't have been able to afford to buy one on mowatts level. I think center midfield is a real weak area for us in terms of both quality and leadership. Even Benson has played a couple of prem games but was loaned out to grimsby was it so most of his competitive games have been at that level. We were linked with Ben whiteman in January and the summer before how much we were interested i don't know, but I think he would have been a better addition at the present time than any of the current midfielders we have here.
