Bobby/Disco would be no different to appointing anyone else in terms of uncertainty. they aren't guaranteed to do well.
Someone with abit of experience, people clamour for it on the pitch but I think its even more important in the dugout.
early odds do make me chuckle. essentially based on people coming to places like here, to see the names that idiots like us are chucking about. more chance of me getting the job, than wilder or mick
imo definitely would be different, in terms of they know the club, the players, the fans, the community. a completely new coach less likely have any of those attributes. I also didn't say they were guaranteed to do well. no one is. my argument was more around their ability to stabilise in the short term, than be a long term appointment. either way, irrelevant as they have gone with laumann. understand that. let's just hope he has something different to bring to the table and wasn't part of the schopp problem.
gonna lump on joey barton. would be great to see Emma Hayes get it. just to watch people spontaneously combust.
Interesting to read about the club accounts. They really need this appointment to be right. It has to be someone prepared to lose a couple of players to balance the books. The run of form needed to achieve this and stay up is automatic promotion form. The new guy hasn't got an easy job.
If the players respected him, and the board still want to go down the 'let's take a gamble' route; I'd not be averse to trying to get Sollbauer back as gaffer, as long as he keeps his player registration!! Always seemed switched on to me, and spoke eloquently on the differences of the English and Continental game and mindset.
Don't think it is that bad at this moment. Big job for who comes in yes. But automatic promotion form needed? Bit extreme. We are only 4 points off safety with 31 games to play.
Good shout as would be a good appointment or good possibility? I'd say he's be less likely as the consortium would still have to recruit a Head Coach at Ejsberg.
Wouldn't mind someone like Alex McLeish however I don't think he will fit the boards remit or manger profile. Knowing the board like we all do I wouldn't be surprised if a manager/staff from the other clubs comes in such as Rafael Van Der Vaart who's at Esbjerg (although he is currently as assistant).
