Of course not, but most coaches tend to make incremental steps up a ladder with experienced staff around them, rather than being catapulted from bottom to top. Don't get me wrong I hope it works very well for him, but it's a huge ask with very little support around him.
I don't think he's a serious contender for the job full time, but all managers/head coaches have to make the step up at some point. I really hope he ends up being the second coming of Danny Wilson(who as we all know also was catapulted into the hotseat from being an assistant)...
We're all counting on him. He hasn't got time to find his feet so I'd hope he is in the frame because we need wins. I think we've waited 4 games too long with Schopp but that isn't Laumann's fault.
I have it on good authority that Joseph doesn't like the water in the Midlands. The fluoride levels are too high.
I get the impression from interviews with Jos,especially the one in pre-season, that he is someone who analyses and thinks about football. Also, he and his wife had their 3rd child this summer. If he can show the players why they are conceding simple goals and the way to prevent this, then we have a chance of not losing so many games from winning positions. I think this team can score easily but are too easy to score against. The lack of coaches and analysts at the club won't help but it's not a impossible situation. He needs to involve and trust the players too. Last season Val played Toby to counter act the lack of pace in the back 3 when they pushed up,he might have helped with the first goal on Saturday?
Personally I hope he makes a real go of it and everything goes unexpectedly well for him and the players respond inkind. They were nor behind Schopp so hopefully they will get behind him and the season starts again against Derby.
