Exactly this. He wanted to keep it quiet to tell his team. The team have all got journo mates. Loose lips. He told his wife? Who told a neighbour who told an Austrian journo who told a British mate. Laumann was given a few hours to think about it, he told a mate, who told a bloke down the pub, who told a journo. And the 997 other possibilities. Least of the fans problems currently, who leaked an inevitable dismissal.
Which is what I said. It’s either come from the board or Schopp. I didn’t actually say I thought it had come from board. I said it had to have come from those who told him, or Schopp. Given Schopp asked for it not to be announced until Monday, seems strange to imagine he would leak it. But yeah, possible. Don’t know what thousand other possibilities you have in mind, but I’d guess they’re less likely. Guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree.
Thanks SR I must have missed that thread but in the context of this thread I think it only fair to refer to other posts in that thread that clearly take a different view of the said advisor to the Crynes https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2018/03/09/sports/soccer-jarvis.amp.html The relevant paragraph being The relationship grew fractious, and people close to the Cryne family accuse Jarvis of leaking information about the deal to the news media in order to boost his company’s profile. Jarvis denies this, describing Cryne as a “bitter man” who was “high on drugs” at the time. A lawyer for the Cryne family declined to comment.
There should be PEEPs for everyone in the Audi corner stand, whether they use a wheelchair or not. (Disabled supporters area). Fire Marshals should know how many people are in there at every game and have their individual plans with them.
I don't think it really tells us much. Needing to raise funds before we spend them isn't new. For example, would we have been able to afford to bring Dike in, if we'd extended James' loan to the end of the season? Players having aspirations can apply to all. There'll be the most valuable players who want to be competing for top 6 Championship or a chance of the prem. There'll be fringe players that want regular first team football, and players like Christie-Davies who just want some first team football.
Just shows the kind of people that are latched on to getting involved in football club deals, never mind the owners who are always under scrutiny when they take over any club, you’ve also got all the advisors/agents in the background desperate for any percentage they can get, no wonder the deals are so complicated and usually end up not being welcomed by fans.
Without reading through all the posts in my nearly finished lunchbreak, was it asked about the RR+Vouchers ? I know there are bigger issues at the minute but you don't buy a holiday for the following summer being sold a flight on an aeroplane then 7 months later wonder where the plane is !!
EasyJet , done it a few times , once had checked my bags in to be told the flight had been cancelled and didn’t I get the email , this was by an EasyJet employee stood under a screen in the departure lounge showing the said flight with check in open !!!
That was mentioned at the last Fans' Forum. The vouchers were printed and sent in to Oakwell and the quality was terrible. They're being printed again and the plan was to get them out to everyone before Christmas - I think there was even talk they might extend to local businesses.
Yep to be honest I've no trust in any of the parties involved with the original purchase and those actually now running the club because let's face there were questions about PCs business dealings re isoft so I think the whole thing is a complete mess and very murky with all sides having questions to answer.
I get what you're saying but I feel that they're adding in these completely irrelevant things that are mirrored in all our other stands in order to try to further justify their decision. It's a case of this is wrong and this and this and this and this until people say oh wow fair enough. They don't need to do that at all and it makes then look silly, all the needed to say was that due to the wall and the floor they've closed it. People wouldn't be happy but it would at least make more sense than trying to use refreshment kiosk counters as justification which is just stupid. Agree on the directors box too. From reading the rule book I'm sure they could have moved them at least to the concrete lower tier
