As previously claimed All it proves is that we shouldn't stick to that policy because he looks a very good player to me. Frieser was on the spreadsheet, but he's so far away from Championship standard it's genuinely scary he's had so many games at this level. I know people down the pub who can play better than him. Genuinely. Not as fit and not as committed but better at football.
For some reason I had the impression that Iseka was a standard spreadsheet player. A high potential player that had never made it but could be brought in very cheap with a very good chance of increasing in value. Frieser I thought was outside the spreadsheet and brought in at the request of a manager
Well it would be weird if, of all the players in the world, the spreadsheet targeted a player who happened to play under the head coach at his previous club. Frieser surely has to be here because of Val. He's also much older than our "normal" spreadsheet signings. Iseka on the other hand is young and was expected to become a top top player, but then went through a bad spell where things weren't clicking and thus we were able to swoop in and sign him cheaply. Which is exactly the point of the spreadsheet.
Not what I heard, but I'm not confident enough to claim I'm right. I am confident enough to say that the signing of Iseka was categorically said to be not a spread sheet signing and all previous signings were.
Sorry sweetheart. Misremembered and was out by a couple of months. Must be getting old. Doesn't change the fact that Frieser in no way meets the spreadsheet standard and Iseka absolutely does.
Iseka has some proper class about him, he could go far. I thought Iseka came from the spreadsheet though? I had it in my head that Oularé was the one who wasn’t from the spreadsheet.
What facts? It's you that's coming out with facts. Facts that are totally incorrect but still, in your simple mind, facts.
The Frieser and Iseka spreadsheet "facts" you started this post with. I apologised for misremembering something from over a year ago.
As far as I'm concerned the spreadsheet (it's not a spreadsheet) is a tool which compliments an old-school scouting network and recommendations. If we can get all three methods working to their full potential then we're laughing. I've said this before and I'll say it again, no one knows who is/isn't a spreadsheet signing as (as far as I'm aware) no one at the club has at any point said so. But if anyone can point me to an article or interview with anyone in an official club capacity which proves me wrong, I'll gladly eat my hat. Enjoy the win.
