What do people think are our chances now we've got rid of Schopp and win a game? Could be a complicated one, with potential points deduction for Reading, and an appeal from Derby for the 12 point deduction, but a potential further deduction for FFP. Then there's the fact that Derby and Hull could have new owners in place before the transfer window.
Not something we've been able to do that often at this level. Last season, and maybe first half of 16/17 season?
We will absolutely pi55 staying up, with the right manager/head coach in place. We've got a decent Championship team.
Extremely unlikely likely that we won't draw any. Winning as many as we lose will probably be good enough only if we don't draw too many.
Stay up comfortably. I thought we would even before Schopp left. Too much quality in our squad to not come good eventually and knowing we had players still to come back and others to still get up to speed.
Almost impossible to decide until we know what happens with the Manager and what we do in January. We “should” stay up comfortably with the players we have but for now I wouldn’t like to put that especially as we have given most of the league a 10 game start so gone with the skin of teeth option. Though we can’t cut it closer than 2 years ago
If we can beat H Same logic here. That said... "Comfortable" makes me think mid-table or survival guaranteed with a dozen games left to play. "Skin of teeth" makes me think a last gasp finish. If there had been another option inbetween those two, "safe with a handful of games remaining" or suchlike, then I'd have gone for that one. I think it will be close, but not nail-bitingly close.
That’s fair. I could’ve been more specific with the wording. Skin of teeth probably should read still in danger in games 44,45 and 46. With being safe with 3 games to spare or more would be fairly comfortable, certainly in comparison to 2020.
I think Derby, Hull, and Peterborough will go down where we Finnish is anyone's guess from 21st to playoff.
If someone offered me 21st place 4 points clear of 22nd place going into last game I'd take it now then we can plan for new season. But I do think mid table finish is easily achievable.even now.
Too difficult to call without knowing who the new manager will be. At the moment I feel we will go down but it could change and a possible points deduction for Reading puts them back in the mix.
Hard to say, the new Head Coach has a lot of work to do. Let's not get carried away with 1 win. The next appointment is vital to our survival.
Similar to when Schopp was here. Always felt we would get better as the season went on regardless of who was in charge. Really liked what I saw of Benson early in the season & we all know how good Morris & Anderson are. I’d expect us to finish around 17th-18th but to have a decent gap to the relegation places.
Plenty of points to play for right manager/head coach cant see why not. Could lose players in January though.
