Vaz Te was sold. Drinkwater was recalled by Leicester Butterfield, Perkins and O'Brien got injured. He didn't have the team sold from under him in that window. Butterfield was sold in the following window, and I don't think we adequately replaced. He definitely got a raw deal, but I think it's a misconception that he had his team sold from under him, because we didn't sell that many key players during his reign. It just seems that way because he lost his entire midfield in the space of about 3 weeks, but that was mostly due to injuries.
Maybe so, but the point I'm making is, the team wasn't sold from underneath Hill. Vaz Te was the only player (from my recollection) sold during that good run. He was unlucky to lose 3 of his midfield to injury in the space of 3 weeks. We had no control over Drinkwater's departure.
