Isn't that a daily occurrence these days? I know some pubs have had issues with Travellers there, so maybe it's a knock on from that?
Not really sure what’s going on but Dad went in this morning to do a bit of shopping and said police were out in force. When he asked one what was going on he didn’t get much of an answer
Loads of them drunk and singing . They were escorted down from Wombwell train station, singing and generally rowdy Let'ss hope we give them a proper tonking today.
Been chatting to more than a few Hull fans in the Dove. All very civilised, despite me trying to kick summat off
Away fans not welcome in Tarn…….metro dome closed as well……wombwell has become the calling place for away fans
Been to London today shopping with my daughter who lives down there... as we were stationary in Doncaster coming home there was a group of 15 Hull fans absolutely hammered on the platform. Found them very amusing as one would stumble backwards only for his mate to catch him.... then the one doing the catching would teeter, to be supported by another of the group lol
I was on a train that got into Barnsley at just after 1:30. When it got to Wombwell, around 50 juveniles from Hull got on. They were absolutely smashed! When i say juveniles - aged 14-17 Stone Island/ Adidas trainers types. They started up singing and it just got more and more nasty. I wasn’t particularly fearful for myself (other than the fear that one would throw up) but they started banging the train roof, and the light fittings came down. A young child (maybe 6/7 yrs old) shouted “Come on you Reds”, and was met with the most disgusting chants imaginable. Couldn’t wait to get off the train. When I did, the Barnsley Police were exhibiting the best “welcome to Barnsley” I have ever seen. I’m not kidding - they nearly rolled out a red carpet for them. Who is giving these kids alcohol? I hope they have horrific hangovers because they were horrible. I know our fans of this age can be equally horrific. I just want parents to know how bad this was - I can look after myself, to a certain extent but there were families and elderly people on that train. Horrible.
There are no rules governing carrying alcohol on trains. Except on certain carriers You can drink and/or buy alcohol on most trains in England and Wales. ... However, train operators may opt to run "dry" trains, meaning passengers cannot bring alcohol on board nor consume it. The police are struggling to deal with it. Some sort of legislation requires bringing in. To solve the problem. Had it on good authority it’s being looked at. Morons (eg some Barnsley fans being an example) have chose this as their mode of transport. Being refused travel with independent groups. QPR was the prime example of some of our lot being unable to stand, never mind walk
