It's not a difficult thing to do. He could ask say the FD to find the information and relay it to the supporters trust who could then relay it. A person who claims such integrity, honesty and transparency should place high value on keeping promises.
The factual details of the payment are very clear, and impossible to dispute given the source information. The delay will all be down to the attempt to continue to find a 'spin' for it that justifies how the football club could afford to have such a significant amount removed from it's working capital, and the fact that no such spin exists. The response, should one ever come, is a very good litmus test for KEA's claims of transparency. The only acceptable response is to come clean that this was an inappropriate use of funds and confirm that the monies have been repaid by the investment company. Whether he's willing or able to make such a statement remains to be seen, but the longer any response is delayed the less likely it seems it will be a transparent one.
I suspect it won't come or iif it eventually does it will be along the lines of "It was before my time but I'm told......" to try and distance himself from it. He may well be the person he tried to paint the picture of at his unveiling to fans groups... but my general experience is those that specifically state they profess honesty and integrity are generally the ones you need to keep a closer eye on.
I'm not either but he has gone on record as saying it was entirely down to him so he has no excuse for not answering. 2 scenarios are possible - it was his decision as he claims - he should answer the questions it was imposed or heavily encouraged from above - well he has misled us but until he comes clean we should still take him at his word and demand answers
The club should be able to, by now, list out the work that needs to happen and estimate a schedule for it. Even if it's to say this season, the summer, or they wont do the work at all and concentrate on redevelopment.
I'm not so sure it's entirely on him.[/QUOTE] I think he's more than happy to fend off questions about the West Stand because he can't answer the ones about on field issues.
For me, this is why we have a Supporters Trust - to act as the voice of the supporters in a public forum. I think they should publicly request an update on each issue, and keep doing so on a weekly basis until we have some clear responses in the public domain. At the very least, KEA needs to understand that a strategy of hoping this all dies down will not work.
I remember a bloke that used to say every time an opposition player went down. "He's gone down like MFI wardrobes".
There is more chance of us staying up than the West Stand being reopened this season. I would lay money on any remedial work not even commencing before the season closes.
For clarity, and to maintain pressure on the club, I wonder if it might be helpful to keep the two issues/threads separate, and keep both running near the top of the page. "Dear Khaled" relates to the £750k and "Khaled, when will the West Stand reopen?" Not that I'm being pedantic about it. Post what you like, wherever you like. Nowt to do with me.
Well he's a lot like IKEA. He won't give you a complete answer so you have to try to piece it together yourself.
