I agree with you in principle about the manager, but only two clubs might be interested in any given player we have, if we have a European manager, I'd guess there are over a hundred clubs across Europe that change their manager every 12 months, and that means a good manager is a more saleable asset than any player.
If we had the structure and philosophy in place to give continuation regardless of the manager, this wouldn't be a problem, but the way the club has been decimated this last summer has meant that we haven't. Which in a way, is due to us being in the playoffs last season and shows how the success of last season has cost us, even if it's not just financially.

Check the record for the Chelsea Manager, he’s not done bad either.

Yes, but you need to keep up with events .....
He was appointed on Tuesday morning but released on Tuesday afternoon due to lack of success and his bleating on about wanting experience in the side.
So I'm afraid you missed him !!

Bizarrely if you translate the translation into Albanian then Turkish and back to English it changes to him. Mind you it then also says that Marcus left the shop and we are second to last in the Champions League. Yes I know....I have way too much time on my hands but random translations of translations can sometimes throw up hilarious results (though not so this time)

You just never know how a new head coach is going to settle and how they are going to approach the task. So I'm not particularly concerned either way that its someone from outside of UK shores. He might be a good coach, he might not, I've genuinely no idea. And as we've had such a high turnover the last few years, its difficult to be bothered as the likelihood is we'll be looking for a new coach in the summer. He either succeeds and is actively sold, or he fails and he's sacked (probably a relegation clause (as Morais) in his contract as well as a compensation clause).

My biggest concern is more for him. It can't be easy to settle making such a huge move. Culturally it will be very different. His existing family and friends network may well be more remote and if things don't go well, its going to be a tough toxic place to have to operate in. Throw in covid and brexit and it gets tougher still.

I hope the guy settles and doesn't find it too hard. Yes, the rewards can be decent, but what these coaches from overseas give up to gain those rewards is significant.

I don't think it is. Lots of people called for a manager with some experience of the championship as the club face a relegation battle and there are a couple of managers available who may at least get results and there was a clear desire to achieve a specific result. Pep and Klopp are Foreign but I don't think you'd have heard of objection if by some fluke we'd have got someone like that or even Farke from Norwich. A foreign manager (which we all knew would be from a substantially lower league standing than the championship) and an English manager from a lower league are always going to be more of a punt than a manager with relevant experience in this league, as long as you avoid someone well past his sell by date like Nigel Pearson. He may be Morais 2.0, he may be the next Klopp, we have no idea. I wish him well all the same, he's taking as big a punt as the club are.

I'd start with Brittain Anderson Helik Styles' can't understand for the life in me why we got Vita in' are Bayern not expecting him to get some game time?' if he's that bad we're obviously not gonna buy so why is he still here...

I got Peter Markstedt's name on the back of my prem away shirt on the strength of his performance away at Liverpool. I was a very impressionable 10-year-old :)

I'd go J Williams Anderson Helik Vita(?). Styles at LB would be such a waste, and Brittain at RB.. I dread to think!

Great debut wasn't it? He was repurposed as a striker after he left us. His scoring record was pretty good all things considered.

If you expect any kind of longevity in this modern iteration of what we call football you are in for a very disappointing ride. The only certainty is that with every appointment through the door - be it player, manager, or fresh-faced yanky CEO - they will soon be out the exit, particularly down at Oakwell - sorry, Grove Street. And that's not me being pessimistic, that's cold hard facts.

Brittains a defender by trade but unfortunately he's looked bad this season due to being caught to far up the pitch and not being able to get back' i think playing as an orthadox defender he would be good' i always said during vals tenure that i wanted styles in the midfield but i think he's been quite disappointing this season' i would have gomes and benson as the sitting 2 with iseka wide left frieser wide right then cauley or moris at no 10 and oulare centre forward although you could perm any 2 from 5 at 9 and 10...

I seem to remember Andranik trying to take it off JCR and then JCR missed, obviously not helped by the argy bargy beforehand.
