Reds fans! Deputy Editor & Writer of On The Ponty End, shares his thoughts on Barnsley FC's new Head Coach Poya Asbaghi and his Assitant, Ferran Sibila. Could this be an inspired dual appointment? https://www.onthepontyend.com/2021/11/asbaghi-tactics-wombles.html?m=1
Yes, I'm a massive Deftones fan. They're my favourite band. White Pony is more sentimental to me than good, I much prefer Around The Fur and Diamond Eyes to White Pony, but there are always at least 3 fantastic tracks on every album.
Around the Fur was a ground breaking album, Dai the Flu is one of my top 10 songs of all time, it's that good.
Also my favourite song on the album. Although it's probably their most solid offering from start to finish. It really defined my musical taste in my late teens early 20s.

Good summary. I wonder what the tactically astute people on here think? I can see how it works in theory, perhaps we won't know until the Swansea game. @Red Rain do you have an opinion on Poya/Ferran as far as their tactics have been described so far?
I never really found that band. Always mentioned in relation to the Replacements, Nivana etc.. Must give them a proper look..
I wouldn't equate them with either the Replacements or Nirvana, but they definitely weren't your average Nu-metal/skate metal band of the late 90s.
Thanks for posting. Hopefully it will be seen to be inspired having read the attachment. V v interested to see how the ekonno approach will work.
They get talked about as under the influence of early Replacements?* That’s where I know them from. *Don’t try this at home, kids..
Definitely should listen to them. Start where? White Pony? They do get name checked in Replacements features, but they split in 1991*, so it’s all stuff since. * Apart from the glorious shows 2014-15
White Pony is the most Nu-metal/Rap Metal album of the lot, so it depends what you like. I'd start with the following songs from a few albums: Bored, One Weak and Engine No 9 from Adrenaline Be Quiet and Drive, Around the Fur and Dai the Flu from Around the Fur Digital Bath, Passenger and Change (In the House of Flies) from White Pony Good Morning Beautiful, Death Blow and Anniversary of an Uninteresting Event from Deftones You'll know by then if you're a fan and they're a fairly decent spread of styles from the first four albums. @RedVesp may want to add any other personal favourites.
Prefer the Wombles myself, honestly came to this thread for Wombles talk and vids. Best Christmas song ever, possibly.
