Out of interest, how do you know what the chances are of the vaccine harming you? According to the ONS, statistics on deaths and injuries caused by Covid-19 vaccines are currently exempt from the freedom of information act as there is a view to publish this data in future, although no date has been given on when that publication will be. There are no official statistics regarding deaths and injuries caused by Covid-19 vaccines. When you hear someone state how safe the vaccine is, or compare the chances of suffering harm when taking the vaccine compared to being infected with Covid-19, I'm not sure what data they're using, but it certainly hasn't been compiled by a body as well respected as the ONS. There's the yellow card system, but that's far from ideal. There will be thousands of reports on there of people suffering symptoms which have nothing to do with the vaccine, it's just coincidence they suffered them at the same time as having the vaccine. And thousands of people who have suffered genuine side-effects who have never even heard of the system. The ONS have reams of published data on Covid-19 deaths and injuries, but not on injuries caused by the vaccine. Or they do but they haven't been published, which they suggest by claiming they will be published at a later date. I don't know how so many people are so certain that the disease is far worse than the vaccine without any data on vaccine injuries. If you're in a group vulnerable to the virus, I would bet any amount of money that the risk of injury is far worse from the infection than the vaccine. If you're not, if you're young and healthy, well, how does anyone know? We do know the chances of being injured by the infection are very low for young healthy people. How does the vaccine compare? Everyone should have the opportunity to take the vaccine if they want to, and as regularly as currently recommended. But no one should be made to, or stigmatised and discriminated against if they don't. Particularly when half the information required to make an informed choice is not available, when the infection is extremely mild for the vast majority of young healthy people, and when the vaccine itself appears to have little or no effect in whether or not you contract the disease and infect others. https://www.ons.gov.uk/aboutus/tran...ofinformationfoi/covid19vaccinedeathandinjury
Except I didn’t post a link to any news and I stated in advance it might not be accurate. That’s literally the opposite of how it works!
You’re discussing it right now. People will disagree with each other but no one has told anyone to shut up as far as I am aware.
Not allowed to discuss it without anti-vax rhetoric thrown out there within seconds or things getting personal. It’s a position certain people (in general, not on the BBS*) who are very pro-vaccination and pro-lockdown take instantly whenever there’s a sniff of someone not ok with 100% compliance or vaccine passports. *I wasn’t just referencing this tiny cluster of people either
But it reduces severity and keeps people alive who *might, otherwise have died. The whole notion of "Uh, you can still catch it so what's the point of it" - no single statement winds me off the clock like it.
Since when did I say " what's the point of it " ? I'm merely pointing out in all likelihood we will all catch it .
Haven't heard many people say that. Lots of people questioning the logic behind vaccine passports on that basis but not actually having the vaccine.
Just as those most at risk during the pandemic felt they were treated like collateral damage that is what is happening to those getting injured or killed with adverse reactions. People are being inflicted with life changing injuries for stepping up and 'doing the right thing'. And if anything does happen to them they are silenced, cancelled, censored, made out to be anti-vax (leading to mass hate) and ignored. Doctors dont want to know, the government dont want to know, there is no support either financial (when they cant work or lose their career and income) and not even people to talk to to help them. There is only one narrative that is allowed when it comes to the jabs and it is a closely managed thing. Dr Campbell already shared in this thread has spoken at length why we should be aspirating with hardly any downside (maybe a lite longer to do and potential slight discomfort). It is a simple change to the procedure that if done could remove that factor in these injuries. Until they do i fear that everytime you go for a jab whether that be your 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th 100th shot your are gambling its not in a vein in your shoulder. I wasnt aware just how bad a situ some people are in until a guy ive followed for quite a while for mountain biking on YT just stopped posting new content for months. Then given i watch JC was amazed when up he popped on his show to talk about what happened when getting his 2nd shot and the symptoms and what he has been left with. He has gone on to try and get things looked at and spoke about his struggles. He has since been subject to massive hate online, painted as anti-vax and driven to the point of considering suicide as a way out - hes in a right mess not helped by his current health. My heart proper goes out to him as he was such a decent guy. But he's not alone - others in his situ have already taken their own lives over it - 6 that he knew of that had been in contact. Search twitter or insta for Kyle Warner MTB if you want to take a look but its not an easy watch. Kyle was fine with the first shot which makes me really think and wonder if aspiration is a big issue here. It may not be but they need to find out - right now they are not interested. Sajid Javid of the JVCI even wrote to JC and told him there are no veins in the shoulder! That right there should make people stand back in amazement, The whole things is terrible but makes it worse that bIg pharma are making millions and not putting anything towards those damaged in these rollouts.
I'm double jabbed and had COVID. Natural antibodies are more powerful and last longer than any vaccine, some academics suggests they could last decades. I'm young, fit and healthy. Why would I bother with a booster evert 6 months for the rest of my life? Considering 2 members of my family have been really ill with taking a different vaccine to the one I had. I'll make my own decision. I've done my bit already. Now can the government please stop threatening people.
Had my booster shot yesterday. Went up to Wayne Rooney's Darby and Joan club at Clayton West for it. For what its worth re: vaccination I think we all have to make what we consider to be sensible decisions for ourselves, families and society. There are no 100% right and wrongs in all cases regarding vaccination for various reasons. However, on balance, I decided to have my jabs because I think that given my circumstances and evidence I have seen vaccination is the best thing for me at the moment. Simple as that for me. If there's another booster in future I'll look at it and think before I have it although at the moment I'm more inclined to have it.
Gibraltar - 118% of people on the island vaccinated - 100% of residents and then everyone coming onto the island. They just cancelled all xmas gatherings. https://londonlovesbusiness.com/due...ltar-cancels-official-christmas-celebrations/ if only everyone was vaccinated it would have... oh hang on!
My girlfriend’s parents were both double vaccinated (April and July) and looking forward to receiving their boosters. Sadly, she has just had to contact the funeral director to postpone her dad’s funeral (which was scheduled for tomorrow afternoon) to next Friday so that they can make it a joint funeral to include her mother too. She has lost both her parents in their mid 50s to heart attacks caused by blood clots in the space of 4 weeks. I don’t suppose that was anything to do with the vaccines though.
I find this worrisome: https://www.reuters.com/legal/gover...ss-foia-request-over-vaccine-data-2021-11-18/
I think so. There’s still people out there who think that lockdowns are beneficial public health measures.
Gibraltar is a peninsula, firmly attached to Spain. Maybe one day we will be sending trench diggers down there to cut them adrift, in the spirit of true Brexit-ism, but it hasn't happened yet.
It's a bugger to access though. I've crossed the border on foot from Spain. Like any other pedestrian crossing except when the barriers go down it's not to let cars go past or even trains, it's bloody aeroplanes! You walk straight across the runway.
