Yes it would because the evidence was overwhelming that in the actual incident he was defending himself (watch the footage of the actual shooting and you'll see what I mean).

The real issue though with what you say is that we really need to end this rubbish assumption making that anyone black is automatically found guilty. It's just not true. People both white and black are found not guilty every single day in America.

Jacob Blake pulled a knife on police and was justifiably shot yet because of the obsession with race everyone was shouting from the rooftops that it was a black guy shot so MUST be racist. It whipped up a frenzy and completely unjustified protests and violence that is what directly led to these deaths.

Racism is awful. Any institutional racism needs to stop. Any racist people need taking out of any position of power. But we also have to stop making ******** racist connections where there is no evidence to support it. It is dangerous and generates a never ending circle of death.

That on its own would’ve annoyed me though, what happened to tasers and batons, they just pull a gun!

 

Have you ever seen the film Just Mercy ??? based on true events. I was gobsmacked, I thought it was a fictional drama.

 

They've created a horrible situation where so many bad people have deadly weapons that everyone is on edge and out of fear the immediate response is deadly force. They're all too stupid to realise that though

To put gun violence and BLM protest in context there were 356 people shot in Chicago alone in October and there were 59 murders. Most were black on black crime. Food for thought when looking at the “protest” which led to the 2 deaths in this case. I’m not sure painting, for example, one of the people killed - Rosenbaum as a hero helped - someone who spent 12 years in prison for raping boys 9-11 hrs old, who showed no interest in Black lives it seems until there was a bit of a riot on.
Indeed I don’t see many BLM protests down in Chicago where there’s at least a couple of black people shot dead every single day of the year.

 

tbf I think the main concern is that any Tom, Dick ( emphasis on Dick) or Harry can walk down the street with an assault rifle and just cut loose!

 

I agree that it certainly sets a terrible example, and although he was found not to be doing anything illegal wandering the streets with a AR-15, thats more of a example of the sorry state of the U.S system and feeds into so much gun crime. I don't think I could live in a state where open carry was allowed - seems like absolute madness to us, but these people are exploiting the days of the old West still. A country which was founded on taking land through violence and down the barrel of a gun is pretty fkd up, and they've never really recovered from it.

Thought I'd share this for anyone interested as geographically it happened nearby the whole Kenosha shooting . Accusations of a cover up from right wing media ( their saying he's a black nationalist ) and stories of €1000 bail after running over a woman previously . Personally I don't know what the truth is but i do like to think it highlights how both political narratives in America are effectively feeding off each other and why political discourse over there is becoming near impossible . Kind of why I said the whole Rittenhouse narrative of white supremacy was a gift to the right and will merely serve their cause .

And I witnessed it 1st hand in a shopping mall in Florida.

A bloke nicked a pair of trainers. Yes that's right. A pair of trainers. Did a runner with said trainers. Security chased him out the mall pulled out a gun and shot him in the back.

He got shot because he nicked a pair of trainers. (He happened to be black as well mind) And the USA wonders why half the world hates them when they meddle in everyone else's affairs.
