If I was dropping a full back off the back of today, it wouldn’t be Williams. He was the only player that even looked like winning the ball. While Brittain seemed to concentrate on being in vaguely the right area, whilst not actually having any effect on what his opposition player can do with the ball.
Have we got to play again so soon after that wonderful performance, poor buggers will be absolutely shattered after running themselves into the ground
That's the team we need I reckon, the damage limitation team. Maybe swap Oulare for Cole for fitness reasons alone.

I agree i slated Williams at Fulham because he was awful but last night he wasn't too bad especially 1st half. Britain took his turn to be poor the 1st goal he didn't get over to stop the cross the 2nd he stood off his man and gave him all the time in the world to shoot.
Forget the first team let the u23 and U18S have a go. They might have more fight and spirit.with eagerness to impress.the new boss. Can't be any worse.
One of the problems we have is that our first team squad are largely the U23s. The U23s are largely the U18s.
Adrian Durham will be wetting himself for this one. If I were Darren Gough I'd book the day off for Monday!!!
I probably would have Brittain play in midfield if we have a back 4, but maybe not quite so advanced. Chance he might find himself in the opposition box playing that position. Never ends well.
Just don't know on what basis Cole gets dropped and cauley keeps his place but whatever. Probably same outcome whichever 11 roll on next season.
Brittain was completely wasted on the pitch last night. He was in the right back slot most of the time and didn't get up the pitch. I don't think he's the best defender either. So I'd rather have him in for his energy to get up and down, but with Jordan Williams behind him as cover. It's a bit like deckchairs on the titanic though.
