Just for anyone it will impact I'm told that stagecoach drivers are going on strike next week and a week in December is also planned in. Sure someone might know more specifics.
Services impacted are 1,6, 11, 12, 30, 21, 22, 22X, 27, 28, 32, 43, 57, 59, 66, 67, 93, 95, 218, 219, 222, 226 , X19, x10
I notice Chesterfield aren't on strike again. They are also Yorkshire Traction Co Ltd. I hope they aren't planning on scabbing like they did last time.
How come the union says the pay offer is 2% but the employer says its 4.5%? https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-59405505.amp
Seems like they are someway apart doesn't it. From experience I would guess that the company have come up with a creative way of calling it 4.5% but in real terms it's less. I remember once working for a firm who offered us a large percentage increase but decreased shift allowances so ultimately the "rise" in pay was minimal.
A security guard at an office I worked at was pleased as punch as his boss had been in and said he was doing a great job and a valued member of the firm , so much so he had got a pay rise . It turned out to be a rise in the minimum wage that the firm had to pay anyway !!!
Many managers at our place who'd try that trick, and many as pleased as punch to be announcing it not realising what they are saying too.
