Did any of them, as children...

    Have an outside toilet?

Have their Setdi neet bath in a tin bath in front of a coal fire?

Did they ever share the bath and water with siblings?

On a Sunday did they have pek sarnies with brown sauce, followed by cake and biscuits with a cup of tea. Then watch Songs of Praise, Points of View, Last of the Summer Wine and Antiques Road show?

    If not then go. Now.

Exactly. I'll amend my op accordingly.

I could do a Pek sandwich with brown sauce now.

Did they ever chase a lump of coal down Harborough Hill, in January wearing nowt on their feet while the neighbours clattered them with a bed pan trying to get to it first?

    Thought not, board out.

All of the above, except Peck sarnies. Don't ever remember having them. grandparents always did a decent Sunday lunch. Fair play - they had barely a penny between them.

It's spelled Pek. If you're spelling it any other way, you never ate it and you're just a Spammer.

Love them. And you're right about special occasions too. I like them best when I have the house to myself and can sit watching telly with a plate full of the things. Bliss. :)
