Although, taken by the YP from the football league world rumours site. So unlikely to have any substance. Surely we’re not doing to bring in another 20 year old midfielder?!
Rather have peter doyle in midfield than another 20 year old whos never played championship football.
Whoever we bring in (or more likely don’t bring in) it’ll make no difference anyway. Sadly we’ll be as good as down by the time the window opens. Conway’s dealings in the summer transfer window made sure of that.
Only played 73.mimutes of football.in bundasliga2 so far us blackpool and Swansea interested in loaning him in January https://www.si.com/soccer/mancheste...ive-destinations-following-gametime-struggles
A mate of mine is a scout for Chesterfield, I was speaking to him earlier and he reckons a scout from Barnsley was at their game watching their striker Kabongo Tshimanga, who’s scored 17 in 17 for them.
Rather we signed players from premier league like Benson and gomes..... oh wait, seriously though 17 in 17 is decent at any level and Marc Roberts and pinnock didn't do too bad coming from non league. And as strikers asombalonga, dwight gayle,Lee tomlin,Lee Gregory all came from non league. We could offer a exchange of schmidt, oluare, victor and Miller for him.
After a bit of reflection I have settled with myself that the owners have no interest in us staying in the championship. their model is buying players / managers / insert job role and then flipping them on at a profit. I think this is indisputable now. It seems that’s why they’re here, with the added benefit of being able to sell the club on at a profit if they’re able to reduce their own liability regarding the original cost of the purchase price / deferred consideration. I think it’s fair to say that model works ‘best’ when we perform well in league one, rather than scrap in the championship and it is also lower risk to them. Given the model has become higher risk due to the transfer market becoming deflated as an effect of covid, it emphasises this even more. There simply won’t ever be the required investment to make us competitive in the championship under these owners.
Exactly it’s also why I’m choosing not to renew my season ticket as I don’t want to fund a player trading project just designed to benefit investors and not actually create a competitive football club for its fans to watch anymore.
